Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 10/day in the week to Jul 30 → 15.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I hate this game. I love this game. A nice Elder Scrolls experience riddled with a lot of stupid decisions when it comes to the Crown Store(cash shop). Like 70% of the game's content is locked behind DLC that you can't even buy with normal money, unless you do the monthly sub which imho is the better option. You can buy a house for 14k crowns, aka 74.99 GBP! What the ♥♥♥♥! I could get SO MANY games instead of.. a house in a game that is probably not gonna last long anymore thanks to Microslop and their obsession with AI that nobody even wants! They laid off half the staff and most likely will be flooding this once cool game with AI slop. Shame. Shame on them. I hate/love this game, but i cannot recommend it at this time.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 12: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

The base game should be free, if there is a paid subscription! Compare ESO to SWTOR or Warframe or anything else, really. Also, the Crafting Bag requires ESO+, which is not cool.
I really wanted to love ESO because the Elder Scrolls universe is great, but the monetization makes it incredibly hard for me to enjoy. You already buy the game and expansions, and then there's an optional subscription on top of that if you want the experience to feel more convenient. Then you have the Crown Store, cosmetics, DLC, loot-style items and all the other things being sold separately. I understand that MMOs need a steady source of income, but ESO sometimes feels like it's designed to constantly remind you that there's another thing you could pay for. The game itself has a lot of content and the world is fun to explore, but the whole business model just takes away from it for me. I don't want to feel like I'm managing a subscription and a virtual wallet while I'm trying to enjoy an RPG. 3/10 — I wanted to explore Tamriel, not explore the Crown Store.
My 3 month sub is almost up so might as well do it now. What I was expecting: - More of TES lore and stories - Finally get to travel to places like Elsweyr, Black Marsh and Summerset and get to return to Morrowind - Memorable OST that stays with you for the rest of your life - Bethesda jank What I got: - Heavily monetized storefront wearing a skin of a game - Mixed bag of decent writting held down by awfull quest design - Bethesda jank - If I mute the music it changes nothing Funny how this heavily monetized game with a sub can't deal with server maintenance in a way that doesn't prevent me from playing the game I pay monthly fee to access. I never experienced something like that with Guild Wars 2 which is F2P, not to mention it is superior in many aspects of gameplay to this. Anyway back to listing the bad and the ugly: -Melee animations are ass, sfx lack impact, mounts are just a dressed up speed boost instead of being actual separate entities with their own weight. -Trading requires a guild and if you want to just buy something you need to run across Tamriel because different guilds bid on different traders and even then you might not find what you need or find it at a reasonable price. -Crafting as it seems to be a tradition in MMOs is unengaging, grindy, a tacked on afterthought or mix of all 3. Here its all 3 -Combat is braindead - not helped by the animations and sfx - and the only answer they give you is "here have a 50% damage reduction 100% boost to damage you take and a measly 20% exp boost on kills". And there are 2 more damage sponge settings after that and they follow the same formula I love TES, enjoyed my time exploring Elsweyr thats about it. If you want to dedicate time to an MMO I would suggest GW2 or stay on whatever other one you're taking a break from. You aint' finding anything fresh and exciting here
What a waste of 12 years. We could've had two separate Elder Scrolls by now.
Some Indian woman just fired half the devs of this game, not even one year after making significant strides to turn around their awful monetization and simply out of touch expectations for a new player. Now to be relegated to the same fate as Destiny 2. Shame, but what else can you expect from the absolute financial black hole that is Microsoft.
Wasted 7 hours trying to find something worth doing in the game, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucked.
Do you want a MMORPG that makes you wonder if it is still 2008? This is for you. Even at max graphics settings, it doesn't look good. Character Creation has lots of options, but no settings combination can make your character look good. The Cash Shop is in your face as you play because it's clear it's the only way this game can stand to make money for the company. The player base is toxic both in game and on reddit. If you're looking for a real Modern MMORPG with nice people and a cash shop that doesn't provide in-game advantages, play Final Fantasy 14 instead. I don't recommend The Elder Scrolls Online to anyone.
