The Doorbreaker is a story about one very patient person who has a long way to go in the obscurity. The game includes more than 26 different levels where you have to break doors with a random chance. This game requires you to be patient and tough, I warn you!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

RPG Maker strikes again! The Doorbreaker is yet another construction kit template copy+paste from serial shovelware pushers, My Way Games. These guys (or just one guy flipping accounts to mislead gamers) do nothing but copy premade game templates and game tutorials, fill out a few things/stamp out basic levels using the construction kit templates, slap on an asset flipped set of sprites/assets, and dump them on Steam and into DailyIndieGame bundles as cash grabs. Trying to get paid for someone else's game templates, assets... at best, this is shovelware, at worst, it's a scam/cash grab. This time, My Way Games/Dnovel have produced one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. Like most RPG Maker shovelware and asset flips, the game features extremely low quality copy + pasted 2D retro pixel art, looks awful, and has even worse gameplay. RPG Maker is an absolutely terrible construction kit, and never results in games of any reasonable quality or value to gamers. Notably the developer here couldn't work out how to use RPG Maker to make an RPG... and that's the only thing RPG Maker can do properly... except it's not even very good for making RPGs. Instead, we have a laughably bad clicker game where you just click on stuff, like clicking on doors to break them... there's next to no game here. This is garbage compared even to the rest of the RPG Maker trash on Steam. Meepower/My Way Games have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab. While reviews are about the games, gamers should be informed when developers act unethically. Whether these connections are the same developer using multiple accounts, or just working closely with other unethical developers, gamers should be warned about the harm to gamers by this developer and their associates. Buying games from unethical developers puts your money at risk. The Doorbreaker has the far too high price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the unethical nature of the developer. Remember that if you buy a game from an unethical developer, you're putting your money at risk.

Одно типная игра,сюжета мадо
This game is honestly pretty bad. It makes no sense and feels like a waste of time. While the RPG Maker graphics are nice for a nostalgic '90s JRPG fan like me, that's about all it has going for it. The gameplay is just clicking on doors—literally. You travel through random maps, clicking on doors over and over again, hoping to break them down. Some doors take like 50 or even 100 clicks. There's no plot, no battles, no animations—just pointless clicking. After 100 clicks, you get a bubble telling you a key is needed, so you click somewhere else to continue. It feels like a game designed to be played idly while you do something else. I honestly don’t recommend it at all. For me, it's one of the worst games on Steam.
If you want achievements, you can buy them at a discount. Otherwise, avoid this game. It's just a pointless waste of gameplay time
this game is a piece of s-h-i-t don't buy it because it's a waste of money

This game is lit AF. 10 hours of fun clicking at minimum and some lowkey awesome achievements.
The Doorbreaker is an intentionally austere and highly unconventional indie title that challenges traditional ideas of what constitutes engaging gameplay. Developed by Meepower and published by My Way Games, the game presents itself as a journey through dozens of levels toward an eventual confrontation with a mysterious antagonist. In reality, it functions more like an endurance test, built almost entirely around repetition, patience, and the player’s willingness to continue interacting with a system that offers minimal feedback or reward in the conventional sense. At the mechanical level, The Doorbreaker is stripped down to a single dominant action: interacting with doors until they break. Each level typically consists of little more than a new door standing between the player and progression. There are no combat mechanics, no traditional puzzles, and no meaningful variation in how challenges are approached. Success is often governed by chance or sheer persistence rather than strategy or reflex, requiring players to click or interact repeatedly—sometimes an extreme number of times—before the door finally gives way. This design choice is deliberate, positioning the act of repetition itself as the core experience rather than a means to an end. Because of this, pacing becomes a defining feature. Progress is slow, uneven, and frequently frustrating, especially for players approaching the game with expectations shaped by conventional action or adventure titles. Levels blur together, differentiated more by the amount of time required to clear them than by any mechanical or visual evolution. The absence of escalation in difficulty or complexity reinforces the sense that the game is less about overcoming obstacles and more about enduring them. For some players, this creates a strange form of tension rooted not in danger or challenge, but in uncertainty about how long any given task will take. Narrative elements exist only in the loosest sense. The game hints at a larger story—an unseen villain, a journey with purpose—but these ideas are barely developed within the game itself. There are no meaningful story beats, character interactions, or environmental storytelling elements to contextualize the player’s actions. As a result, the promise of narrative resolution feels abstract and distant, serving more as a conceptual justification for the game’s structure than as a motivating force. Players are left to project their own meaning onto the experience, or to accept that the lack of narrative payoff is itself part of the design. Visually and technically, The Doorbreaker reflects its minimalist philosophy. Built with RPG Maker, the presentation is basic and static, offering little in the way of animation, visual variety, or feedback. Sound design and music exist but play a minor role, providing background presence rather than emotional reinforcement. While this simplicity keeps system requirements low, it also amplifies the sense of emptiness, making the game feel more like a prototype or conceptual experiment than a fully realized production. One area where the game attempts to add structure is through its extensive list of Steam achievements. These achievements encourage players to continue interacting with the game, sometimes rewarding obscure or time-consuming actions. For completionists, this can provide an additional layer of motivation, turning the experience into a checklist-driven grind. For others, achievements feel like superficial incentives layered on top of a loop that already demands significant patience, doing little to alleviate the monotony. Community reception reflects how polarizing this approach is. A small subset of players embraces The Doorbreaker as absurdist humor, experimental art, or a novelty experience meant to be shared as a joke or challenge among friends. For them, the game’s refusal to entertain in traditional ways becomes its defining trait. The majority of players, however, view the experience as tedious and unrewarding, criticizing the lack of meaningful interaction, depth, or payoff. To these players, the game feels less like a deliberate experiment and more like an empty exercise in repetition. Ultimately, The Doorbreaker is a game that exists on the fringe of interactive design, appealing primarily to those who enjoy irony, endurance challenges, or unconventional experiments that blur the line between game and provocation. It does not reward skill, creativity, or strategic thinking, and it offers little satisfaction in the traditional sense. For most players, it will feel frustrating and purposeless, but for a niche audience willing to engage with it as a conceptual oddity rather than a source of fun, it stands as a stark reminder that sometimes a game’s message is found not in what it offers, but in what it deliberately withholds.
