About

Detective Jack Foster rejoins the police department after a traumatic incident to take over the investigation of what appears to be mere political blackmail. Soon, however, he's faced with the discovery of a gruesome ritual murder that took place in a sealed room, from which no one could have gotten in or out without being seen. Along with his new partner, Harvey Whitman, an expert on cults, Foster dives deep into the shadows of the city of Arkham.
The case will get even darker when they find out it is related to three witches that escaped the Salem trials in 1693, and a conspiracy that could put an end to the world as we know it.

The writing is top notch and the plot is extremly interesting. Regarding the puzzles, they are logicall and for the time being towards the easy side. I am 4 hours into the game and will update when i will complete it.

Es entretenido sin mas los pratagonistas tienen buena quimica y la duración a pesar de ser corta es suficiente. Lo recomiendo totalmente aunque por la duración capaz en una rebaja sea mejor.

The music in this game is nothing short of incredible. Every track feels like it was pulled straight out of the Prohibition era, making it feel as if you've been transported back in time. From the smooth jazz to the atmospheric melodies, the soundtrack perfectly captures the spirit of the noire genre and immerses you in the world from the moment you start playing. The story is just as captivating. It constantly creates a sense of urgency, making every mission feel like it truly matters. There were so many moments where it felt like if I didn't act quickly, the entire city would fall into chaos. That nonstop tension kept me invested from beginning to end and made every decision feel meaningful. Between the authentic soundtrack and the gripping, high-stakes narrative, this game delivers an unforgettable experience that keeps you fully immersed in its world.

Entretenido.
Unas 7 horas bien invertidas. Historia muy entretenida si te gusta lovecraft y cthulhu.
Would recommend as a flawed point and click. I went in not realizing it was lovecraftian and from that perspective it's a bit jarring how the lovecraftian elements are stringed together. On one hand it's like the people in this setting will treat the lovecraftian as commonplace, and yet they will also at times treat it with extreme skepticism. It also felt a little weird how nonchalant the characters were, they act like walking into the gates of Oblivion is just another Friday for them. One of the characters even makes this quip, "just another friday". This game is trying to balance on an awkward line between being a realistic setting intruded upon by lovecraftian horrors, or being a realistic setting with existing lovecraftian anachronisms. The overall world just doesn't feel properly lived in, moreso it is a collection of horror elements rather than containing them. This pattern shows up in what I'll call plots - mini arcs with new locations - which act as just a brief glimpse of the different lovecraftian corners of this world. They are threaded together with an overall narrative, but I would say only just barely, usually only with a single reference. The transition into each of these plots is just as sudden as their exit; many endings of these plots remain unresolved, sometimes with cliffhangers, and usually never mentioned again. For example there is a museum with a lot of exposition of many different concepts that are never mentioned again. In a lot of ways the museum is analagous to the game: a lot of very loosely threaded lovecraftian-ideas without any central theme to drive them besides that they're lovecraftian. As an aside, I also did not really understand the point of the often very on-the-nose social commentaries that are all throughout the game. I was expecting some sort of pay off but there's not. Sadly it's yet another thing in this collection of ideas that are all vying for an identity. It gestures at serious and real-world type of problems in a drive-by manner and doesn't do anything with it. I did enjoy the characters but as the game progresses they have a lot less quips to say. Compared to the first scene, the rest of the game doesn't have a lot of unique interactions. I did enjoy the dichotomy between the two main characters though. Overall I am very nit-picky and tend to highlight the bad in games far more than the good. This game is messy and uneven, but entertaining enough to hold my attention for the entire length and likely will hold yours too. On the technical side, I got a bit frustrated at the back-and-forth nature of this game with its often unskippable walking animations, but it's only a bit of tedium. Some animations are skippable just not all of them. The puzzles were fairly easy, you could understand what the game wanted you to do and the steps you would need to do them almost instantly. You don't need a guide or hints for this game.
