About

Detective Jack Foster rejoins the police department after a traumatic incident to take over the investigation of what appears to be mere political blackmail. Soon, however, he's faced with the discovery of a gruesome ritual murder that took place in a sealed room, from which no one could have gotten in or out without being seen. Along with his new partner, Harvey Whitman, an expert on cults, Foster dives deep into the shadows of the city of Arkham.
The case will get even darker when they find out it is related to three witches that escaped the Salem trials in 1693, and a conspiracy that could put an end to the world as we know it.

I really liked the writing in this game. Not necessarily the story, which is pretty by the numbers for the source material (Lovecraft), but the quips and interpersonal dialogue. Especially between the main characters. The art, both pixelated interactable screens and more detailed character portraits in conversations, is very good and fittingly bizarre where it needs to be. The music is mostly a nice relaxed jazz sort of affair which fits the mood well. The puzzles are not too hard and mostly pretty logical. Very much recommended!

The studio's best game so far. A joy to play

Extremelly surprised by how good this is... the screenshots made me think "Meh graphics, another amateur trying and failing to copycat Lucasarts' style", but once I started playing I must say that the game is extremelly atmospheric and that puzzles are well designed. The only thing that I dislike is strong lenguaje, not because I am a religious zealot against any kind of course words or anything... it is just that I feel that "they not spoke that way in the thirties of the past century", and takes me a bit out of the mood. Apart from that, a solid 9/10.
A very charming Lovecraftian point-and-click adventure. I like that it doesn't take itself too seriously, packed with references to many of H.P. Lovecraft's stories. Feels like a fun, atmospheric beer-and-pretzels session of Call of Cthulhu. Sure, it is not the longest experience and the puzzles are not that hard, but it's for the better in my opinion. I prefer it that way over a dragged-out slog. I've seen comparisons to The Drifter, and I wholeheartedly agree. It's definitely worth the price.
Great game! The graphics are pixel but really well done. A lot of work went into this game and it shows. Looking for more games from this developer.
What a great game!! The story was so fun and I loved the 1930's feel, my only wish is that there was voice acting. Totally would recommend.
If you are a lover of 90's style point & click adventure games like me, then you'll enjoy this game. The pixel art is gorgeous. The story is fun and the puzzles all make sense. I absolutely recommend this game.
I absolutely loved it! Pure nostalgia looks, puzzles are not too hard or easy and a cool lovecraftian story! After playing the Drifter last year I was hoping to get something somewhat similar and here we are! Hope this game is successful and there will be a sequel!
