The Castle of Dr. Hoot

Un gioco a dir poco incredibile, con la giusta dose di horror e jumpscares (si mi sono cacato sotto più volte). Lo stile mi ha ricordato per alcuni aspetti Forestia, un motivo per cui l'ho acquistato senza esitazione. Il gioco si può finire in poche ore, sicuramente ci sono alcuni elementi che si possono dimenticare, e la difficoltà è giusta. Unica nota è la mancanza di un salvataggio manuale, perlomeno durante il primo giorno. Avendo fatto game over svariate volte il primo giorno ho trovato noioso dover ripetere ogni volta la fase iniziale, per il resto è fattibile. Davvero un bel gioco, mi serviva non dormire stanotte. ------------------------------------------------------- An incredible game, to say the least, with just the right amount of horror and jump scares (yes, I totally freaked out a few times). The style reminded me of Forestia in some ways, which is one reason I bought it without hesitation. You can finish the game in a few hours; there are definitely some elements you might overlook, and the difficulty is just right. The only downside is the lack of a manual save feature, at least during the first day. Since I died several times on the first day, I found it tedious to have to repeat the opening section every time, but other than that, it’s manageable. A really great game which will keep me up all night.

honestly for a story game not bad! plenty of secrets and a fun early 2000s style, i love it and am looking forward to more from this dev they know what they are doing!

Despite having a creative general concept and tempting lore, the main mini-game mechanic is too repetitive. And you easily lost all your intraday progress by a silly mistake at the end. I believe what is working in FNAF doesn't work in this game. Spoiler alert: [spoiler] When you finish the whole week without getting all four keys, you will get just a game over screen. Like, I expected some sort of bad ending. [/spoiler]

Rough around the edges coding wise, sure, but it's got a great story and memorable characters. [strike]Dr. Hoot is best teacher[/strike]

The game is quite buggy, and I got softlocked with the progression. The art is what got me to buy it, very cool style. [spoiler] I restarted and got past the castle and am now stuck again when collecting items for students in the field. [/spoiler]

Played this game for about 30 minutes, and found multiple game breaking bugs. Talking to greta goose on monday when she wants to tell a story freezes the game. Astronomy minigame does not work and freezes the game. Clicking through dialogue too fast makes the box disappear. Cool ideas, terrible execution, needs a lot more work. I like the character designs and overall aesthetic, but it simply is not that good and if I didn't stream this game, I would refund it.
