The WWI story where your goal isn’t to kill, but to survive. In the still trenches, three soldiers learn the harsh truth of war: reckless missions, digging trenches, collecting dog tags and ghostly whispers in the dark. Home before the leaves fall, they thought.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Aug 25 → 3/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
THE CARIBOU TRAIL - Home before the leaves fall, they thought.
Far from home, Fisher leaves his quiet harbor town in Newfoundland to join the British war effort with his friends. They expect a short-lived adventure full of tales to bring back home.
What awaits them is not glory, but dirt, loss… and a touch of madness. The quiet gestures that hold a regiment together, the impossible choices, the weight of survival and... well, dubious stews no one back home would dare to call edible.
The Caribou Trail is a visceral, first-person narrative experience about a band of friends sent on some of the most unlikely missions of the Great War.
Inspired by real testimonies, The Caribou Trail blends history with fiction to portray a rarely explored front of WWI: Gallipoli, from the landing to the final evacuation.
Cut through barbed wire in no man’s land on a desperate reconnaissance mission, silence a sniper holding the line, and make noise during a chaotic evacuation. Each step is experienced through your own eyes.
Yet this is not about winning the war, it’s about enduring it. Explore the back lines, feel the weight of anticipation, stumble through the trenches, reclaim the dog tags of fallen comrades, and share stories with those who still have the strength to speak. Sit by the fire, share ghostly tales (that may or may not be true), and find warmth around the campfire.
When the time comes, you may choose to pull the trigger… or not. Every gesture brings you closer to the men who laugh beside you… and fall before you.
There is no score. No kill count. Only resilience, fleeting friendship, and the fragile hope of making it home.
War may take everything, but it also builds bonds.
You and your companions are not hardened soldiers, but ordinary men: fishermen, dreamers, storytellers; cooking fish’n’brews in battered pots, laughing at bad jokes, and clinging to one another when silence grows too heavy.
In the chaos, these small rituals become lifelines - reminders of who you are, and of who's fighting alongside you. What begins as survival becomes brotherhood, etched into memory long after the guns fall silent.
Gordon - Insufferable and lovable. Always the center of attention. He'll crack a joke or roast you at the worst moment possible, but he'll be there for you no matter what.
Lonnie - A whimsical, dreamy kid who doesn't belong, but still strives to do his best. What he lacks in military prowess, he compensates with his warmth and spirit. He'll even share a good spooky story or two to change the mood…
Fisher - You are the middle brother, constantly defusing (or participating in) Gordo and Lon's bickering. In the face of the war's horrors, you define Fisher's willingness to see things as they are, or instead delve into superstitious escapism.
These are the faces you will remember long after Gallipoli.
When night falls, the line between reality and imagination blurs.
Are the shadows in the trenches just tricks of the firelight, or spirits drawn to the living? In The Caribou Trail, folklore and psychological horror intertwine, echoing how soldiers made sense of a world that no longer did.
What you find may not change history, but it might change you.

Scam
Considering the art style is a bit cartoon like, I didn't think it would capture the horrors of trench warfare in WWI but The Caribou Trail depicts it quite well. I was never really sure if I was under threat when sneaking out on a recon mission but it certainly makes you feel like danger is lurking very closely. It's a very story driven walking sim/adventure with no action, unless you count target practice. Your gun is just there for visual purposes and the same goes for the rest of your equipment because you can't manually deploy anything in your inventory - it's just there to look at. There's a stark reminder here about how young men (or boys) lives were tragically cut short and for the survivors who were overcome by guilt and eventually suffered PTSD (it does get quite deep towards the end). I wasn't too fussed about breaking up biscuits to make dinner every night but I guess it gave you something to do whilst the stories were being shared. Other pointed out the voice acting wasn't good but I actually liked the Irish-like accents. Nice game, if you want something a bit sombre.

this game is def a 10/10 great story kinda like fire watch but better ngl
Overall thoughts: As someone interested in the history of WWI, this game was a nice short experience about a group of b'ys (newfoundland boys) deployed to Galipoli in 1915. The point of this game is to tell a story first and foremost and as such it lacks in the gameplay department. If you are interested in WWI and are okay with few game play mechanics, This game has a nice story to tell and I recommend it. I hope the devs get a chance to make something else. Gameplay: This is an interactive walking simulator with very few game play mechanics. Mostly Making Soup! Story: The point of this game is to tell a story about a coupla b'ys from a newfoundland regiment in WWI and honor those b'ys. This is a short, emotional story that sets up its emotional beat, and executes it well. Since the game is rather short, the setup and pay off are almost sequential and thus felt less impactful. Visuals: The game's aesthetics betray some of the "horrors of war" visuals the game goes for. However there are some standout moments of tension that cut through the game's looks. Audio: The sounds and music of the game are phenomenal
Całkiem spoko gra. Nie jakaś kolejna strzelanka z jakąś tam fabułą tylko gra skupiona zupełnie na storytellingu. Mi sie podoba
Amazing story
MUST PLAY! What a wounderful story, it caputres the feeling of what it was like to be in one of those trenches. The mateship and sacrifice of all men in WWI will never be forgoten and this type of game carries/helps their memery stay alive for generations to come. Please make more games like this! The only thing I have to say is make the game longer! It was over to quickly and it made me want more to experience.
This game is un-like anything I have ever played before. This is something you could truly call a masterpiece, with how in-depth but simple the story is, the mechanics of the game, and the environment is truly something unique. The developers did an amazing job placing you in the eyes of a young World War 1 soldier in Gallipoli. This game gives you the sense of fear, hopelessness, and horror that soldiers faced every day there a long time ago. Overall this story is truly something unique and incredible, and I hope other people will get to enjoy this as well!
Very deep and emotional but the optimisation was quite bad and navigating in those trenches with that map was tinkering with my brain
