The WWI story where your goal isn’t to kill, but to survive. In the still trenches, three soldiers learn the harsh truth of war: reckless missions, digging trenches, collecting dog tags and ghostly whispers in the dark. Home before the leaves fall, they thought.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Aug 25 → 3/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
THE CARIBOU TRAIL - Home before the leaves fall, they thought.
Far from home, Fisher leaves his quiet harbor town in Newfoundland to join the British war effort with his friends. They expect a short-lived adventure full of tales to bring back home.
What awaits them is not glory, but dirt, loss… and a touch of madness. The quiet gestures that hold a regiment together, the impossible choices, the weight of survival and... well, dubious stews no one back home would dare to call edible.
The Caribou Trail is a visceral, first-person narrative experience about a band of friends sent on some of the most unlikely missions of the Great War.
Inspired by real testimonies, The Caribou Trail blends history with fiction to portray a rarely explored front of WWI: Gallipoli, from the landing to the final evacuation.
Cut through barbed wire in no man’s land on a desperate reconnaissance mission, silence a sniper holding the line, and make noise during a chaotic evacuation. Each step is experienced through your own eyes.
Yet this is not about winning the war, it’s about enduring it. Explore the back lines, feel the weight of anticipation, stumble through the trenches, reclaim the dog tags of fallen comrades, and share stories with those who still have the strength to speak. Sit by the fire, share ghostly tales (that may or may not be true), and find warmth around the campfire.
When the time comes, you may choose to pull the trigger… or not. Every gesture brings you closer to the men who laugh beside you… and fall before you.
There is no score. No kill count. Only resilience, fleeting friendship, and the fragile hope of making it home.
War may take everything, but it also builds bonds.
You and your companions are not hardened soldiers, but ordinary men: fishermen, dreamers, storytellers; cooking fish’n’brews in battered pots, laughing at bad jokes, and clinging to one another when silence grows too heavy.
In the chaos, these small rituals become lifelines - reminders of who you are, and of who's fighting alongside you. What begins as survival becomes brotherhood, etched into memory long after the guns fall silent.
Gordon - Insufferable and lovable. Always the center of attention. He'll crack a joke or roast you at the worst moment possible, but he'll be there for you no matter what.
Lonnie - A whimsical, dreamy kid who doesn't belong, but still strives to do his best. What he lacks in military prowess, he compensates with his warmth and spirit. He'll even share a good spooky story or two to change the mood…
Fisher - You are the middle brother, constantly defusing (or participating in) Gordo and Lon's bickering. In the face of the war's horrors, you define Fisher's willingness to see things as they are, or instead delve into superstitious escapism.
These are the faces you will remember long after Gallipoli.
When night falls, the line between reality and imagination blurs.
Are the shadows in the trenches just tricks of the firelight, or spirits drawn to the living? In The Caribou Trail, folklore and psychological horror intertwine, echoing how soldiers made sense of a world that no longer did.
What you find may not change history, but it might change you.

Reviews
Games using war as a setting sand down the sharp edges, by necessity. Your death is just a ticket number down for your team. You dieing fast and often is a reminder that war is hell, but it's more a statistic It's not up close and personal. Here, you get to know the young men that enlisted. They want to do the right thing, or help King and countrymen to end all wars or are pressed into service. They sit in the trenches, tell ghost stories from back home while they wait to have some adventure. Even with no attack, they see death plenty from shellings and snipers. Game play wise, it's a little more than a walking simulator - not by much though. There are buttons prompts, but I don't think they are timed... other than that, you are free to explore the trenches and read the historical notes on a number of items you come across. The voice actors do a good job with the Newfoundland accent, I think they sell the personalities well and make the game. I had no outright bug, but when you move where the developers didn't anticipate and the camera gets locked, you might have a hard time... Overall, I liked the story. As a game depicting war, it hits the right notes. It's important to not forget history and I hope this game as an interactive piece of art helps keeping the memory alive.

really nice story
good game
Eine wirklich emotionale und krasse Story mit einen berührenden Ende.. Für jemanden wie mich der Firewatch geliebt hat und immer noch tut, ist es ein 10/10 Spiel. Kann ich nur empfehlen!
good entertaining game. Pretty short but also cheap so you get your money's worth, if you ask me. Story was good, really liked the gamplay at the end, which was really well done and creative.
Nice little walking sim that covers a very little talked about part of the First World War. Don't go into this with AAA expectations. It a good narrative about the struggles of people fighting a war they don't understand as modern warfare changes the face of warfare.
Rest in Peace to the fallen.
