About
Welcome to The Cabin Factory - as a newly hired Cabin Inspector your job is to inspect the cabins and determine whether or not they are haunted.
Inspect the whole cabin:
If haunted, turn back immediately and press 'danger'.
Is safe, press 'clear'.
The Cabin Factory is a short horror anomaly-hunting experience (~60 minutes) inspired by liminal spaces and psychological horror walking simulators, like 'The Exit 8', 'Pools', and their virtual predecessor, 'P.T.'.

What a fantastic example of tension building and atmosphere with no reliance on cheap jumpscares. This games greatest asset is, silence. For most of the cabins, you really are just checking out a regular cabin with the wind smashing into the exterior, which makes the haunted items feel way more unsettling when they literally just move. This game used tension in such an effective way that made turning a corner feel like a gamble, even though chances are there's nothing there. However when there is something there, its terrifying, with no loud scream in your face scares. The second one of the entities first walked towards you my heart skipped a beat even though the silence was still there with nothing but their footsteps, it felt terrifying. I didn't expect much in terms of story for such a cheap, short experience but it really has a succinct, short, yet interesting plot happening with an ending that felt satisfying. Saying this, the performance was questionable at times which I suppose shouldn't surprise me as it's an Unreal game but that never took me out of the experience. Also a couple times I apparently missed an entity and I still don't know what it could've been as the darkness in the cabin, as creepy as it is, can really hinder anomoly spotting. Honestly, I could recommend this game purely for the
dance number
at the end but for such a cheap price tag I couldn't recommend this enough. ★★★★⯪

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

„Ich kann 'The Cabin Factory' definitiv weiterempfehlen, wenn man nach einer netten kleinen Abwechslung sucht. Es ist ein recht kompaktes Spiel, das ‚klein, aber fein‘ ist. Besonders gut gefällt mir, dass es das Denk- und Aufmerksamkeitsvermögen anregt und fordert.“
20 minutes to beat the game , an hour for searching a achievement i didn't get
Fasst lieber Gras an.
6.8 A really neat idea to tie in a bit more of a narrative with the characters within the anomaly game albeit it is unfortunately quite short. I ran through the game roughly 2 and a half times (After beating all anomalies I checked the achievements and saw a couple of them required specific cabins so I did some random before just deciding to erase game and figured I'd do it all again. As I ran through it fully twice it really showed the disparity. My first run I got like 3 back to back 'scarier' ones and more 'heavily narrative' ones pretty close together. But on my second run I think I got a narrative one quite early and then not really one for another 20 or so. I'd love to see the idea expanded upon!
Fun mini horror game. Great graphics and gameplay!
What a wonderful little gem costing almost next to nothing! Had a blast to play with my BFF 100% recommended. The game is clever and not only relying on jumpscares. It's short but satisfactory imo!
