Deathground

I went and backed this game on kickstarter, and I have not been disappointed. This game is very fun, and also a bit scary and tense, (when playing alone) and it is amazing. The controls feel great, the npc ai is very interesting, and the overall feel of the environment is amazing. Also, the fact that this game is also in early access means the dev team can make improvements on the game as well is cool. This game also ran great on my gaming laptop. I will give this game a solid 9.5/10

This game reminds me that we are living in the Year of the Horse, and let me tell you that is NOT a good thing. When I first laid my sights on this game I was hopeful to see the glory of modern Dinosaur AI. But what I encountered was a large chicken with a magnetic pull towards my character. The best class is the Hacker, which you are able to hack into vending machines for 1 Baja Blast while getting mauled by a Raptor! Wow great mechanics! Can't wait for Unreal Engine 6 to come out and make this game even better :) I give this game, 3 hours spent trying to fix multiplayer out of 10.

Crashed my PC when doing the Intro. happened after the power switch and going through the door. this is AFTER i downloaded the new driver. had to restart. excuse me while I refund my $15 wasted dollars

You want a game that only has 2 dinosaurs in it? Want a game where you only have to use the rifle and nothing else the game has to offer? Do you want 4 small but painfully boring missions? Well this is your game! I wouldnt be shocked if the dev abandoned the game.

As a solo player, Deathground is pretty miserable to play. Limited respawns, sprawling missions that take forever to do when you're alone, and no way to permanently disable the dinosaurs means you spend most of your time just running away back to the safe point and waiting until whatever dino is chasing you goes away. It also doesn't help that the dinos always seem to know the exact locker you're hiding in, making the entire hiding mechanic kind of pointless. Solo players being able to use more than one tool would be a nice change rather than forcing us to choose. Any potential buyers should also know that there really isn't anything in the form of progression other than collectible notes you can find scattered around each level. There's no XP/leveling, no skins or cosmetics to unlock, just the notes. If you're desperate for a new dino survival game to play and you've got a few friends to recruit, Deathground might be worth getting when it's on sale (the scripted tutorial/prologue is also admittedly pretty good). If you're primarily a solo player, though, I'd steer clear.

This game is literally unplayable. Idk if it's because of a low player base or what, but I haven't been able to find a game for months. Every few weeks I try it again to see if i can find a match with no luck. Would not reccomend.

Game runs o-k on my pc. Not great, not great mechanics. But my friends computer WHICH ARE DECENT COMPUTERS! Are struggling to run the game and their GPU's are running at 99% while game is running. Okay quality game, but it needs quite a bit of work, and the performance needs to be addressed. Until they optimize the game it's not worth whatever price they're asking.
