The Cabin Factory

Positives:
+ Cool idea + Mostly good graphics + Very nice sounds and music + Creepy and unsettling atmosphere + Some very cool anomalies + Well made "jumpscares" + The storytelling + Some humour + Achievements + The steam guides
Negatives:
- Can get a bit confusing because of different rules (compared to usual anomalies games) - Some anomalies are hard to spot - Can feel a tad frustrating and repetitive - Narrow FOV and no adjuster - Quite taxing on the computer - Very short (over in 1-2 hours)
Conclusion:
The Cabin Factory does a tiny twist compared to normal anomalies games. And its a good one once you understand it. If you dont, feel free to use the steam guides. There's some lore here as well along with the cool jumpscares. So if you like this genre, you cant go wrong here.
Total Score: 7/10
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

fun game
Do you enjoy losing all your progress for no reason? Than do I have the game for you. The Cabin Factory is an Anomaly finder game; that means that you are given the same environment to look through for every level, and you're trying to decide if it's exactly the same or not a certain number of times (usually 8 due to Exit 8 being one of the first examples of this game). This game has a slight twist on that premise, because you're not making sure each cabin is the same, but rather checking if anything in the cabin moves, regardless of it being the same or different. Right off the bat, I don't enjoy these Anomaly style games. I find the task of scrutinizing the same re-used assets over and over again, hoping I haven't missed a tiny detail, to be less than satisfying, and most of them can hardly be considered scary. The Cabin Factory has some major legs up in this regard. This game does a great job of actually being scary, and the fact that each iteration of the cabin doesn't need to be the same means that its much more interesting to search for each loop. However, the core is still the same, and it's infuriating to search through a house for several minutes, find nothing moving, click the "safe" button, and have all your progress reset because apparently you missed something. On top of that, the rules for what counts as "moving" are unclear to begin with. There was a time that I went through the cabin, and on my way out a item was in a different spot. This seemed like something moved, so I clicked "danger" and was apparently wrong. One time, an apparition appeared in front of me, clearly making this a "dangerous" situation, but it came at me with such speed that I couldn't get around it in time to hit the button. Instead, I simply "died" and had to restart yet again. I have no idea what the game expected me to do other than die, and I had no control over it. Some of the scenarios when the cabin is haunted are pretty solid little horror vignettes, but it's wrapped up in a nothing burger of a package. I don't understand the appeal of these games, as even the best ones have nothing real going on, as you don't have to overcome danger, or hide from it, and there can't be any overarching story, because there's no story to be had. Of the anomaly games I've played, this is a better one, but it hardly fixes the inherent issues of this style of game.
