The Cabin Factory

So, I have finally come around to finishing all the achievements and 100% the game, which has given me room to fully give my two cents on the experience and present a review. Firstly, I loved every second of this game. There is not a moment in this experience in which I wasn't on edge, feeling somewhat unnerved. Every scare was so uniquely crafted and specific it made the game very memorable, yet my most memorable part has to be the drastic shift of entering the cabins and its intense shift in atmosphere. I don't exactly remember the last time a game gave me that feeling, All the cabins had their unique spin, which made hunting for anomalies a very fun time all around. The voice acting, although limited, was very well done and reminiscent of games like 'Layers of Fear'. Together with the storyline really resembling a unique twist on Hansel and Gretel. My only 'down side' would be- the achievements. As you can see, I have 2,9 hours on record for this - in truth speaking - 20 minute experience. Yet upon me getting the game, I had no idea how the achievements actually worked. It is an incredible downside when I have finished this game numerous times, yet I didn't understand that you needed to stand in front of certain anomalies to activate cut scenes. I would be aimlessly walking around, clicking various items until exhaustion, just to get frustrated from trying to finish it and- give up. The only reason I have returned was because of my wish to 100% it, yet if I hadn't watched other youtube videos about this, I would've been clueless on how to 100% the game. That wasn't exactly well explained and it may cause certain frustration. In all other aspects, this game was a wonderful gem and incredibly unique. It has very well elements of horror with a unique twist, paired up with a very generous price. This is a game I highly recommend to people who enjoy horror on a genuinely creepy and unnerving note. With something you can dive straight in, not think too much about and enjoy the ride. Massive recommend.

Ez már kicsit könnyebb és kiszámíthatóbb volt, mint az eddig általam ismert anomália jeresős társai, ami egyszerre előny, de hátrány is, mivel itt ott már kicsit unalmas is kezd lenni többszöri végigjátszás után. De mindezek ellenére Xbox-on is előkapom mégegyszer.

What a brilliant little game. Graphics are gorgeous. It confronts some really interesting themes too. I loved slowly putting the story together and realising all is not as it seems at first. It is very scary as well. It made me jump a couple of times and had me noping out of cabins the second I saw movement. Well worth the price.

This game was pretty spooky, but I held it together pretty well. There were some scenarios that felt like a rip and I did hate how slow and clunky my character felt, but then again it was an old lady so it made sense. Overall a fair experience.

Une très bonne expérience horrifique, avec un petit quelque chose en plus qui fait vraiment la différence. 👀👻 The Cabin Factory propose des anomalies qui peuvent réellement mettre mal à l'aise, voire faire franchement peur par moments. Certaines situations sont particulièrement efficaces et permettent de maintenir une bonne tension pendant l'expérience. Mais le véritable gros plus du jeu, surtout en stream, c'est la possibilité de faire participer directement le tchat Twitch aux différentes prises de décisions. Le tchat peut ainsi avoir son mot à dire concernant les anomalies et les cabanes que l'on visite, ce qui rend l'expérience beaucoup plus interactive et surtout beaucoup plus fun à partager avec sa communauté. C'est exactement le genre de mécanique qui prend encore plus de sens lorsqu'on joue en live : on ne se retrouve plus seul face aux anomalies, le tchat devient presque une partie intégrante du jeu. 😂 Un très bon jeu d'anomalies, et clairement une expérience que je recommande particulièrement aux streamers qui cherchent un jeu capable de faire participer leur communauté. 👻🎥
