Reviews
The game features a very tasteful concept and maintains a strong pacing throughout. When it comes to the story and characters, there are a few minor flaws that could have been improved through certain in-game situations or more refined dialogue. The overall length felt just right, and the game never drags unnecessarily. The environments are excellent, and the core concept of a writer entering books to steal artifacts is incredibly unique and engaging. I am not sure I have seen anything quite like it before, but I have to admit that each chapter felt interesting and distinct. While the main plot leans more toward a B-movie style, it fulfills its purpose well. Roderick, as a supporting character, was easily the most enjoyable for me. The visual presentation and gameplay mechanics are of high quality, and I found the combat system engaging from the very first encounter all the way to the end. Overall, it is a solid experience that is definitely worth playing. The only thing I personally missed was voice acting, though that is more of a personal preference.
That wizard was out of spells, but not out of shells!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

there's some great pieces here, a fun world, great environments. But also ludonarrative dissonance. We listen to how important neighbors are, but then regardless of any player action are forced to 'forget' to return key items or favors. Rather than going anywhere this arc gets completely discarded. Likewise, early missions hint that we have autonomy in our decision to help the characters or exploit them; but you don't really have a choice with most missions having 1 forced outcome. There's puzzles and unlockable's but they give you gratuituous combat resources that you don't even need. Great concept, lackluster follow-through.
short and sweet. i played it in an episodic way - i.e. one chapter per playsession and it was a nice experience.
