About

14th-century Europe. Bloody conflicts sweep the lands, and the Black Death comes for the survivors. It's a moment of weakness - and that's all they needed. Vampires seize their opportunity to walk out of the shadows and claim what they've been denied for centuries: freedom, and the power that comes with it. Other creatures of the night follow their lead. Legends turn into reality, and history as we know it will never be the same.
You play as Coen, a young man turned into a Dawnwalker, forever treading the line between the world of day and the realm of night. Fight for your humanity or embrace the cursed powers to save your family. Whatever your choice, the question stands: is your soul worth the lives of those you love?

Experience and shape the plot the way you want. Embark on the quest to save your family, or swear revenge on your sire and destroy everyone standing in your way. Discover ancient secrets lurking in the valley. Rush in head first or risk taking time to prepare. Go alone or search for friends and forge unlikely alliances.

Experience two different gameplay loops, offering distinct abilities to choose from, mysteries to uncover, and varying ways to achieve your goals. Experiment with different approaches and discover how the world reacts to your actions.

Every action - and inaction - shapes the world around you. Your family’s days are numbered, and every time you take on a quest, time moves forward, compelling you closer to the end. Choose carefully whom to help and whom to leave behind. You will not have time for everyone. The world waits for no one. And neither does the villain.

Defy gravity, become a brutal force of nature, and use your supernatural skills as a vampire. Or raise your sword, and employ powerful magic to take on opponents as a human. Experiment and adapt as your form changes during the day and night; each has its strengths and weaknesses.

Venture through the hand-crafted open world and discover all it has to offer. Roam through the lush forests, the vast plains, the treacherous swamps, the steep mountaintops, and the medieval settlements. Explore forgotten ruins, find remnants of an ancient civilization, and uncover truths that should probably remain hidden.

Experience the beginning of a brand-new saga built with love for the role-playing genre. Immerse yourself in a visually stunning world powered by the next-gen Unreal Engine 5.

Still buggy. Made the wrong decision at the jail, now I can't equip a weapon when fighting the two guards. Basically screwed that save file. Solid mechanics, just needs some more work.
Loving the game. One thing that is infuriating is that all of the sudden after 20 hours the mouse keeps popping up in my inventory and screwing with my navigation on controller. I UNPLUGGED THE MF AND IT STILL DOES IT. So no its not DPI.

Im really enjoying the game, everything i expected from the game has delivered and then some. But just like an action adventure game, this one specifically more so is foundationally built on its combat. Combat being as unique as it is, its an amazing experience, the feedback, the animations, the thrill of clashing your sword and the mix of directional parries, dodges, and ability juggling. *CHEFS KISS* But sadly i really cant give this game a pass yet, because as foundational as its combat is and as amazing it is, its held back by 3 main issues that currently are making, one of its best and most prominent aspect, just unfun. 1- The camera jerking around or panning randomly in combat which throws the whole directional aspect of the combat for a loop 2- The insanely bad lock on system: I see the vision with it and i see how it could be great, but its clearly not made properly for when you have multiple enemies to fight, especially 3 or more. Not to mention for a such a sophisticated combat mechanic that requires more precision in your movement, having the usual erratic dog enemies, kills the purpose. They are by no means a problem as an enemy fundamentally, its just when you already have a lock on system that doesnt work properly in a directional based combat that further is broken when multiple enemies are coming at you, add an erratic dog or 2 into the mix, and all the fun the combat system has crumbles. It becomes you fighting the game to have it try and do what you want it to do. You are pressing the right buttons, making the right moves, but the character just does his own thing because your camera and lock on are just fighting you. 3- Lastly, the unbelievable collision weirdness when you are in combat: As in if you are in combat, you cant step off a staircase, even if you are only 2 steps up, as if you are in a hallway between 2 walls, or if there is a tiny ledge you cant just step over it, and i really mean tiny. or getting stuck on a random small rope on the ground or some sort of tiny pebble, only to have 5 people corner you and you cant do anything cause everything is colliding with you and you cant take the space needed to parry and dodge and all that good stuff. Again, all these issues dont make the game unplayable by any means, its an amazing game with so much going for it, but combat being such a CORE element to the whole game is why im judging this review the way i am. I love the combat very much, so well done, but aspects of the games functionality are making one of its best assets, into its worst and thats really disappointing. BUT, i really hope they take this feedback to heart and apply some fixes asap, and i would be more than happy to turn this review around. IM REALLY looking forward to hopefully some fixes. Cz otherwise, GREAT GAME!
Super jeux, je recommande
Besides the current performance issues which they hopefull can fix, the game itself is great. Well written dialog with good voice acting and camera movement. Fun sidequests with nice loot and even hard choices between keeping it or giving it away for the greater good. And exploration is really fun.
If you liked witcher you will love this game. still only a few hours in and i have loved it. one thing i will say is that it still needs to be optimized. If that's something thatll ruin the experience for you maybe wait a month or so. but its minor to me.
pretty good tbh but i get no horse at the start of the game
Yes!
