Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
It’s not for me - but here’s why.
I believe you should always try something before you write it off. Our tastes are more nuanced than marketing algorithms can recreate, and every person reading this will have a favourite piece of media which is contrary to everything you thought you knew about yourself. There’s lots of aspects of Binding of Isaac that don’t traditionally appeal to me. To take an example, the idea of randomly generated levels didn’t initially resonate with me. When I look at a game level, I immediately ask “what problem is the developer looking to solve here?” or, alternatively, what is this environment telling me about the game’s story. With Binding of Isaac’s generated levels, I feel these key lines of thinking were challenged, which isn’t a bad thing. Unfortunately, I didn’t leave convinced by this feature. Many rooms feel sloppily produced by the game’s AI and, as recognised by other reviewers, it leads to lots of cheap hits and deaths. The basic environmental textures, which allow the game engine to piece together assets in a modular fashion, become repetitive fast. The art design in general relies on gross-out humour, which I also don’t traditionally enjoy. Seeing bodily fluids doesn’t inspire, scare or excite me, and I just find it unpleasant. Some of the cartoony horror in Binding of Isaac is just plain distasteful, like monsters featuring a cleft lip - a birth defect which is already heavily stigmatised in society - as a means to look “evil”. The game doesn’t play particularly well either. Movement is 8-directional with no analog input, feeling stiff and lacking in nuance. At its most intense, Binding of Isaac is just a lukewarm bullet hell, but plays more like a Miniclip flash game from 2003. There isn’t enough depth in any of the mechanics, systems or art to create a satisfying experience for me. I don’t mind simple, but this feels basic. I’m glad I tried Binding of Isaac first-hand with an open mind. There’s always a chance I could have changed my mind about certain aspects of its design, but as is the risk with these things, it didn’t pan out that way. We all look for different things in games, so no harm done.

I mean it's pretty good I guess. I don't really know what else to say. I bought it for like two dollars so yeah.
