Improves on everything the original silver case wanted to do to a tee. Gameplay is slightly worse but idc about that. Probably the most unique and best looking game I’ve ever played. This is a game that I will think fondly of for a long time. Every character has a great personality and truly engaging. Absolute masterclass.
Nele existem 3 rotas, Correctness, Match Maker e Placebo.
I don't know where to begin with this but I just want to say that this game, like Killer7, is a subjective masterpiece. Since it's a Suda51 game not everyone is going to gel with it due to how different it may be but for those it does gel with, it really is an experience that can never be truly replicated anywhere else. The 25th Ward, in my opinion, is Suda and co at their best in terms of writing and worldbuilding. Everything about the three storylines truly immerses the player into the world and the world in question is dark and dystopian. Just like The Silver Case, this game talks about surprisingly relevant subject matter across the various storylines, especially with Placebo, that i'm still shocked after playing it. Knowing that a once exclusive mobile game from 2005 was able to accurately predict certain things today with 100% accuracy and talk about certain topics that weren't discussed as much back then as they are now is all really bizarre. I'm not going to say what exactly those things are so to spoil anything but they are specifically related with certain issues and types of behavior that we see in the modern day on the internet and in politics alongside some other topics that will definitely resonate with some people upon seeing them. The characters are written pretty well and are enjoyable to interact with, with some pretty funny moments throughout some of the stories, and the art direction for each of the storylines is absolutely stellar and reinforces the different journeys that each of the protagonists take throughout their paths. However there is a slight issue with the writing that is actually something that is carried over from the OG Silver case and that is that the game can dump heaps of information onto the player in exposition text boxes that can feel a bit much especially in Placebo's UTSUTSU chapter where all it is is just recapping the events of The Silver Case which feels a bit unnecessary to have it as long as it is considering the fact that you'd think that pretty much 99% of people playing this game are at least familiar with the events of the previous game, effectively making it feel unwarranted to have here. While I wouldn't say this is something that is a turnoff for the game as this doesn't happen a lot, I can definitely see why some people wouldn't appreciate something like this due to feeling possibly overwhelmed with how much lore they have to keep up with. I personally didn't have a problem with this 99% of the time but everyone has different ways they like to play games so this is definitely something of note for possible newcomers. The gameplay is pretty simple and the movement is reminiscent of Killer7 due to how you're able to select which direction to go in an area via stylized direction markers similarly to that game, but sometimes it can be a bit confusing on what you should do to progress a certain scene due to the fact that sometimes you have to choose certain options on the die more than once which can be a bit weird sometimes since other times if you choose an option one time, things will progress normally. It's definitely something minor though but can be a bit weird since you'll have to skip through a bit of dialogue that you just read until you choose the correct option a couple times which can make things slightly awkward. The OST for this game like The Silver Case and Flower, Sun and Rain and practically most of Grasshopper's library is also incredible too and helps you immerse you even more into this strange, dark world of corruption and isolation that can sometimes feel dream-like or like some sort of afterlife which fits perfectly with the themes of the game as a whole and what some of the characters go through. On the whole, I'd give The 25th Ward: The Silver Case a 9/10 if I was scoring it. I do obviously recommend you play or at least read up on the lore of the OG Silver Case to understand certain plot points and ideas since this game is a sequel to that but I do recommend that if you're into visual novel games, that you should at least check out this game and possibly the original Silver Case since they're both masterpieces in their own right and are peak Suda51.

STOP CALLING ME JABRONI
This is the Best Silver Case game out of the 3 (Yes I'm including FSR) - yet the biggest problem is that; many of the mind blowing Dr Who attack on titan mind blow moments in writting will fly over your head if you haven't played the previous 2 entries. That being said, this game is still an abstract visual novel that blends the line between perspectives. Which creates this sense of playing something from another dimension. The way in which the background pulsates characters speak, it's themes of observation and so on. I feel compared to the original silver case which is more sterile and at times grungey -the sleeker almost airy feel of this is much more enjoyable / palatable. Even if both are fantastic in their own right.
