Terra Nil is an intricate environmental strategy game about transforming a barren wasteland into a thriving, balanced ecosystem. Bring life back to a lifeless world by purifying soil, cleaning oceans, planting trees, and reintroducing wildlife, then leave without a trace.

nice task oriented game with goals to achieve by trial and error. Relaxing and slightly addictive in pursuit of a stable and supportive environment. Would like more clarity on what happy animals look like cause I tried without success for half an hour last night to capture "happy" bears and beavers. was something missing in that environment? How do I find out?
It Plays like a mahjong or solitair on second difficulty. Nice game to relax. UX may be improved: lack of hotkeys (e.g. for camera)

This game is super fun, very relaxing, and a nice challenge. The gameplay is satisfying, and the changes made to the animal system have made this game way more enjoyable in my opinion. Many other reviews mention this, but it can get frustrating at times when you don't realize what consequences your actions have. I've chosen to take that as a lesson in patience and I'll often restart the phase or even world I'm on when I realize what I'm meant to do. Overall, a lovely and truly unique game.
Amazing game! Super chill and good vibes. If you have leaves to buy stuff it's hard to soft lock yourself. There's been a few times I restarted a run only later to realize I didn't need to. You might need to be creative and look at all the tools you have to make something work, but there seems to always be a way! Lovely game and every single level is unique and it does a great job of giving you stuff you're familiar with while adding a few new tools.
Engaging, relaxing, what else could you want?
I find the art truly amazing; especially if you look in detail at what is presented. I find this breath-taking Would love to see some changes though: - the option of saving intermediate states while playing would be most welcome
Good chilling game
While not advertised this way, the challenge presented here is rarely the puzzle surrounding resource usage. On standard difficulty I only failed one mission due to bad resource allocation, and I can see how higher difficulties may make that more likely, but they wouldn't make the game much different. Instead, the challenge is in creating a solution which is elegant and beautiful, and I found doing so a joy. That said, the game does have some bugs. There are missions where it is possible to softlock the game for reasons outside of running out of resources (one specific example, one level has you place ponds of invasive plants to collect later a biofuel. If you recycle the biofuel containers before using them and after removing all of the plants, you have softlocked the game as there is no way to introduce the plants to clean water). These things are frustrating, but I don't think they're enough to justify a negative score. also, tip: the photography thing gets WAY easier/more fun/better if you know that you can press middle mouse to zoom the camera out. I assume this is a bug, and the devs meant for the control to be scroll wheel down and not click middle mouse, but I am unsure.
