TEMBO THE BADASS ELEPHANT

[h1] It's funny but... [/h1] I don't consider myself as a regular player or frequent consumer of platformers, but one thing I can assure you it's I enjoy them and this game is not an exception. I would say Tembo The badass elephant is a funny game to pass the time but I won't say is a great platformer you should take as a challenge as other titles. Beyond that, it's visually nice, it has a great style based on comics, so if you like that kind of stuff, you would love its art. Here are some points I consider when deciding not to recommend the game: [list] [*] Good mechanics, although special moves are not fully well-used in the entire game; [spoiler] some special moves are used only in two or three levels, nothing else. [/spoiler] [*] It has its own stats tracking system, although it doesn't have a real purpose at all; [spoiler] each level saves the time it took you to complete it and the amount of rescued people. (For a moment I thought they were used to break your personal records against with others). [/spoiler] [/list] On the technical side: [list] [*] Poor optimization; The game runs perfectly, but when there are too many entities on screen, everything seems to slow down. And I'm telling you this from the fact I played it on a relative high-end PC. [*] Ambiguous settings and behavior; If you want to remap controls it has to be done on main menu, as it can't be done during in-game. Restart and Reset options don't act quite as someone expects to. And if you want to change other settings during in-game, you need to exit to the main menu, making you lose a life. [/list]
