Man I really liked this game. They were going in a good direction but then i'm not sure what happened but they started doing side games instead of finishing the man game and then abandoned the game it's too bad. I wish i could recommend this game.
Game is abandoned, studio is closed and the dev's made a major change that divided the community and the ending was nonsense. I wouldn't play this game if they paid me to do so.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

garbage. abandonware. pretty disgusting that the game started getting a bit of hate so the devs packed up house and disappeared. 0 respect for this kind of tactic. the game may be 1.0 but it is no way shape or form finished and with every play session, new bugs are found. don't waste your money. 90% off would still be a waste. don't feed these liars and rug pullers any more money
Techtonica is a unique factory-building game that takes place underground. Unfortunately the developers ran out of money and are no longer developing or supporting this game. The final release is technically complete but the last levels were rushed and unsatisfying with a lot of static exposition to finish the story. Also little or no optimization was performed for the last few levels so they are generally described as "a slog".
I thought it was a great game. Until I got stuck... and found out that even in the discord it was really hard getting assistance. The devs don't have any more money and have stopped developing the game. SO I refunded it. Thanks but no thanks.
It had so much potential and then they botched it up and abandoned it immediately after
A buggy experience with some neat ideas and many, many problems. Light spoilers below. Where to even start. There's a persistent sense that the devs did not fully know what your experience at any given point in time should be exactly. For example, early on you'll receive decent amounts of free building materials (Satisfactory-like foundations), but the ability to manufacture your own is a mid-late game technology. I ran out long before then. The different resource processing "trees" are a fun idea and introduce some choice into how you want to approach your main production lines, but get incredibly confusing because there is no way to quickly check how or even where an item is made. You have to search through the multi-page research tree to find the tech that unlocked the specific item again to go look up the recipe. Also sometimes the display of the ingredients and outputs are swapped, depending on what type of machine the recipe is made in. Baffling. It is never quite clear how much of the progression critical items the game expects you to produce. The items are sequential and if you set up 1/min of an early item that will usually be enough to satisfy 2-4/min of the next tier of progress item. But you don't need those kinds of numbers at all; you'll unlock the next area and hit the next production cap within a few minutes. In the late game this approach suddenly flips and the game finally expects you to produce at scale. Production at scale is a pain to set up because there is no blueprint or copy/paste system. This is tolerable early on but gets worse as the game progresses. Performance is fine initially but degrades heavily over time as the factory expands. By the time I reached the final biome my pc could no longer maintain 60fps. Infamous performance hog Monster Hunter Wilds ran just fine, but Techtonica is too much apparently. I played through most of the game in multiplayer with a friend. Just like performance, the quality of networking seemed to degrade with factory size. While we encountered no major issues for the first 20ish hours or so, by the end of the game we had fully desynced environmental changes that persisted through reloads and reconnecting, terrain which was mined visually but still had collision, ghost items which existed for me but not my friend, and even entire production lines that ran on my friend's screen yet were at a standstill on mine, which went as far as desyncing science progress and triggering story events at differing times for us. I ended up finishing the game on my own, and the game ended up leaving a sour taste in my mouth due to how grindy it gets. It devolved into setting up production for a thing, sitting around waiting for a couple hours for production to complete, unlocking the next step, and then twiddling my thumbs again. Baffling choices that were completely out of step with the rest of the game, which had previously always provided you with multiple things to do or work on. Also, there's a story. It exists. I did not feel it was worth paying attention to and was glad whenever the voice acting was over. Idk. Despite everything, there's something here and overall there was still fun to be had despite the game's myriad issues. If you've played all the factory genre greats and are desperate for more, consider this game on a steep discount. For everyone else there's better games out there.
After the update I don't know how to react. The huge open world was stupidly cut into boxes. Disappointment...
