the famous word, abandoware and dont come with "they released the 1.0" satisfactory also did, and still getting support and updates, factorio too, this cash garb well...
When Techtonica first launched I couldn't wait to see what it would turn in to. It seemed solid. Underground factory builder with terrain deformation, mildly complex recipes, interesting enough story. All the good stuff. It took a weird turn somewhere and when I recently played it again, it didn't feel like it was done. Still felt half baked. And they completely changed certain parts of the game that most players disagreed with? Idk. Had major potential at one point.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game is abandonware as of 1.0, if the continue development i'll update my review, but until then i'll just leave here.
This game had the potential to be much more than it ended up being. Shortly after rushing update 1.0 which completely overhauled the game and broke up the map, the developer/publisher announced they were closing their doors due to low sales with the hope they would pick back up. They claimed it was not truly abandoned in the discord just that the money is not there. However prior to 1.0 release they went a year without listening to player feedback to improve and fix issues with the game. Choosing instead to essentially overhaul the map, core gameplay, and story from the ground up with the elevator in the middle of a lot of small maps rather than a large open world like the 0.5 (which a large player base still uses as the best version). I will still occasionally play this with my friends when we feel the urge to change up the base builder we want to play maybe once a year. But it will always remind me of what it could have been rather than what it ended up being. They claim the bad reviews are the problem for bad sales. I think ignoring the player base and rushing a "finished product" rather than having to end with a superior "incomplete game" with the potential to truly finish it later is the definite nail in the coffin.
They speed up the release and in process "to optimize" game they just botched it
I have played the game a lot without any problems but since it received the update to leave early access the game has no sound. No matter what i do i can not get the sound to work, and i am not alone, may others have the same problem. Can`t recommend because of this problem.
IF YOU LOVE FACTORY GAMES FOR THEIR OWN SAKE, YOU WILL ENJOY THIS GAME. but you probably won't finish it. overall it's fine, but it's just generally inferior to the greats like factorio or satisfactory. the biggest problem is that late game is more or less waiting around for stuff to happen with increasingly poor performance. i have a pretty strong computer and when i approach my main factory my fps drops to sub 30, which in current year is just unacceptable. there are pretty strong merits in the early and mid game. it takes pages from subnautica in story presentation, which was well executed imo. even with problems like certain resources having absolutely crazy rates of generation and others being severely limited, i'd still recommend this game. but the performance problems really cinch it. many people are saying the studio is dead and the problems will never be fixed, which is probably true. Please punish game companies for doing this. Do not buy.
wtf they made the game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on litterally the last patch before release. they made an open world game into a small room game but still required you to dig straight down for 30 minutes to find certain hidden bases.... this game is borderline unplayable now thanks
