About
Welcome to Team Principal: A Racing Manager. Initially a passion project, this game has become much more for me. It is a completely customizable grand prix/motorsport manager game, with a simplistic top down 2d race view. Most of the game is in the in-depth management aspect. Some key features include:
- An ever-changing grid: Teams & engines can leave, go bankrupt, join, rebrand, get bought out, fluctuate season to season. No two seasons will ever be the same, with a virtually limitless grid size.
- Simulate ANY era in this sandbox with infinite possibilities and infinite replayability. This game can handle ANY era, or season of racing in a realistic manner, with over decades of seasons of content.
- In-depth race simulation complete with REAL physics, live speeds, hyper-intelligent AI, setups that impact your actual car speeds in corners/straights, customizable temperature, weather, dirty air, tire wear, fuel consumption, safety cars, mechanical wear, and realistic results, with both simulated and non-simulated options available.
- Easy to use in-game editor, and save editor, so you can have your career mode the way you want.
- In-Depth finance system with stock, ownership, and ability to purchase stakes in rivals.
- Completely in-depth academy pipe-line system with ability to pay to assign your rookie drivers in junior series teams, have them test for you, learn the ropes in rival junior teams you own, and eventually promote them to your team.
- In-depth regulatory system that can change the environment of the game season to season.
- In-depth negotiation system for tyres, parts, sponsorship, works engines, customer engines, and drivers/staff.
- Ability to build and sell your own engines through an engine plant, or partner with an existing engine supplier.
- AI who compete with you every week of the season, on and off the track, in engineering, developing, strategy, and signing talents.
- Fully fleshed out car attributes, driver attributes, staff attributes, headquarters, etc.
- In-depth chassis, aero, engine, ERS, driver aids, and tyre development.
This game aims to be a FULLY customizable racing management sandbox experience for racing in any era. Every aspect of the game able to be edited and changed. Team names, performance, dirty air, tire model, points model, anything one can think of can be edited to your liking.
This game is in active development & will receive extremely frequently updates. Please join the game's discord server, wherein I will share future plans, update timelines, provide bug support, as well as the track editor. This game is extremely mod friendly, and an open canvas for any situations one wishes to develop.

If you think you'll like it, you probably will. Basically F1 Manager but on steroids. Super highly customizable and has a tight-knit community pumping out mods which make it infinitely more enjoyable. Im only a few hours in and have no idea what im doing, but watching the world build storylines as I try to figure it out has been really fun so far. Excited to see where this game goes.
This game has huge potential. It's still early access, but the developer is dedicated. The game is highly moddable. It is very basic, so there is virtually no feature or complexity that couldn't be implemented due game engine limitations. It is relatively basic as of March 2026, so it's easy to learn, and even to master. But new features and updates coming roughly every month, so I expect it to become gradually harder and more complex. The potential in this game is huge, the greatest since Grand Prix Manager 2 from 1996! Yes, it's not pretty, it doesn't have fancy 3D animations, nor it most likely will have in the future. But if you are looking for a pure, retro management game, if you want to have a great challenge, or if you just want to create your own dreamed-up championship with custom rules, this is the game for you! Very highly recommended!

Great Job. Triggers all the right elements for enthusiasts. Great Bridge between economics and results on track. Elements of surprise combined with the logics of motorsports. Beats all the high polish products.
It has a lot of potential, but for the moment it is not really in a shape to actually have fun playing. I guess it requires some more balancing and tweaking. The potential is there. So I don't yet recommend it, as it still needs work. I will revisit this review once it's out of EA. Probably I've been dissapointed by many games in EA that stopped development at some point and became abandonware. So I will buy this if and when it's done and ready.
Good game.
like old school cm2 97/98 in depth motorsport game with seemingly limitless customisation. Looking forward to the end product
great game with even greater potential
Extremely surprising.
nice
