Reviews
I was about to recommend this game. And then I unlocked toilets... and oh how fun. Thats is now required and I now have to demolish what I have built to fit this in. So the game gives you a big middle finger to what you have built and now have to redo. Yeah so not cool.
I bought the game since it was on a very good sale. I love sim games in general and Tavern Master is a very good example of an idle sim game. You get to manage your tavern, hire staff and host events. Personally I love that you can create your own space and decorate it to your liking. As many people have said, manage your expectations as it is not a full out sim game with tons of personalization. After a while, things get a bit repetitive and you basically sit back and watch things unfold. That being said, there are milestones you have to work towards to progress so there is a "challenge" aspect to the game. I find myself playing this, whenever I want to unwind and relax. You don't have to be too much hands on to enjoy it. The music is excellent and makes the vibes more immersive and fitting for a medieval tavern. I am playing on a laptop, and this game runs smoothly with zero issues whatsoever. Personally I have not encountered any bugs. To sum up: If you are looking for an idle chill sim game to pass time and take your mind off of things, Tavern Master is a great option (eps if it is on sale!) What I would love to see in the future is: - More decorations. - A different building tool. (eg Things to be able to overlap a bit, maybe the ability to remove items form snapping to the grid(?) ) - A way to unlock more space / expand your tavern (eg clear the nearby forest on the left of the plot or something similar) Only building upwards tends to be annoying.

Every market we collect.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.89/day in the week to Aug 4 → 3.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Tavern Master is a cozy medieval tavern management simulator centered around designing, building, and running a bustling fantasy inn. Narrative structure is completely absent here - there is no story, just a plot of land and a dream to serve cold drinks and hot meals to local villagers. Fact: Expanding your inn isn't limited to ground-floor dining - the second phase of gameplay lets you turn your tavern into a full medieval hotel by adding upstairs guest rooms, beds, and room service for traveling adventurers! The Short Answer: Is It Worth Buying? Only pick this up on a deep 50% discount or wait until more end-game content gets added. It's fun for a brief stint, but runs out of steam quickly. Playtime 3/10 It takes around 8 hours to unlock almost every core upgrade, and roughly 15 hours total if you want to hit max expansion and clean up all Steam achievements (most players will feel completely finished after about 10 hours). Story 2/10 There is no story - simply build your tavern, upgrade your kitchen, hire staff, and watch the gold roll in. Music 3/10 Pleasant, medieval-inspired background tunes that create a cozy atmosphere while you manage your floor plan. Graphics 3/10 Clean, low-poly medieval aesthetic with smooth animations and readable interiors. Mechanics 4/10 The gameplay plays out much like The Sims build mode combined with automated logistics management: you arrange tables, place kegs, hire waitstaff and chefs, and sit back to watch patrons get served. The game expands further once you unlock the upper floors to rent out overnight lodging rooms. Mechanics are accessible and straightforward, though a few systems feel oddly designed or oversimplified. There is very little pressure or threat of failure, making the overall loop exceptionally relaxed. However, the lack of depth and meaningful end-game content means progression plateaus rapidly once your setup is automated. Personal Take A very simple, low-stress game that delivers a fun, hypnotic loop for a few hours. Watching little medieval patrons and busy staff hustle back and forth provides that same meditative, relaxing satisfaction as monitoring production lines in Satisfactory. While it's a great "chill out" experience to unwind with, the total lack of end-game challenges or deeper managerial obstacles leaves it feeling a bit hollow after the first dozen hours. It's enjoyable for a weekend play session, but definitely wait for a half-price sale. Overall Score: 68/100
