This game is phenomenal. Good story, easy to learn (harder to master) and it rewards creative approaches to enemies. Highly recommend.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Easily the best rogue-lite game I have played. 9 classes are all unique and provide a totally different play style. Every class also has multiple ways to build them in a run, so the game play stays fresh even if you play the same class for multiple runs. Worth full price, but also constantly goes on sale for $5. Can not recommend enough if you enjoy deck builders or rogue lite style games.
Slay the Spire gets a lot of the attention, but I personally like this one better. It scratches all the same itches, and has some nice features StS doesn't have. The slowly unraveling story and quests completed over many runs offers a lot of replay, the ability to upgrade your base/character for runs is fun too. Thumbs up.
I played The Fall of Avalon, liked the setting and got Conquest on sale. I have played Slay the Spire before, so I'm not entirely new to deckbuilding rogue-lites, either. I thought I knew what to expect, but it still disappointed me completely. The setting is weird in a funny way and I could have gone along with it. Unfortunately the wyrdness is a mechanic that doesn't really make the game fun. You need wyrdcandles to withstand it, of which there's only a limited supply. This means you can either explore the world to level before the regional boss and run out of candles at some point or go to the boss more quickly and get smashed. As if the limited amount of health and recovery was not enough to limit the extend of exploration. The gameplay just falls flat entirely. The starting class is kind of boring and gets easily overwhelmed by mob packs - which make up most encounters and bosses. I only slogged through some runs to unlock the next class. The second class plays a lot better and I immediately progressed a lot further. Unfortunately that class is massively reliant on RNG. Not only based on the draws which can just ruin an entire run on a whim, but even more so the fact that you cannot select targets for summoned minions. In a game where certain mob packs require a strict killing order, such a design is just intolerable. A single run of the second class got me far enough to unlock the third, which represents the last archetype. That one felt so massively weak compared to the second with little health, comparatively little damage and bad defensive capabilities. Permanent upgrades are also hard to unlock and rely on even more RNG. So while the setting is fine, the gameplay, class design and progression are not. Maybe there is a class I would have enjoyed more out of the 6 I have not yet unlocked, but that's just another problem. You cannot expect players to slog through for hours upon hours to hopefully unlock the one fun class that is not entirely RNG or badly designed - if it even exists at all. Well, at least it was cheap and the money goes to the developer of the much more enjoyable The Fall of Avalon. So it's not a complete waste. But it is a disappointment nontheless.
This game is a mess. It seems fine at first blush, but go even slightly below the surface and it falls apart. None of the gameplay systems work particularly well. You don't have to make choices while moving around the map since you can simply fight everything without issue. The balance is all over the place. The starter deck is okay, but the other two are janky as hell. The story is one of THE stories of all time. If you get the game super cheap and just want to get a win or two and stop playing, then I guess it's alright? But you're better off playing literally any other card-based roguelike.
One of my favorite single player card games. Great, grim atmosphere of a new interpretation of Arthurian legends, cool monsters, interesting characters and quality dialogues with awesome voice acting and good soundtrack. Gameplay-wise it's good too, I liked both the variability of cards and interesting synergies/combos between them. Plenty of classes to choose from, each with it's own defining mechanics. That said, if you are looking for challenging gameplay a-la Slay the Spire, this is not really it. Same can be told if you were looking for a strong narrative - here it's more like plenty of charismatic characters who reveal bits of interesting lore rather than one single strong narrative. Also, graphics are nothing to write a home about but imho it does its job of conveying the atmosphere. Anyway, highly recommend this both if you are into card games and/or into dark fantasy. p.s. If you will like this game - I beg you to check `Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon`, ya won't be disappointed.
Game sucks bad Edit -played 4 more hours,... there are fights you can not win if you dont have the right cards, 100% sucks bad... 20 mins later i had 200 shields they could not hurt me,.,.. but the wisps ...i cant hurt them. sucks bad EDIT again!! - The game is awesome lol. I played another 20 hours. non stop. you grow stronger in camp. some of the heroes are trash. but the other ones were so much fun. You can get stronger and unlock new cards. Its VERY addicting! be warned!
I really enjoyed the story and the animation style. However, the gameplay itself becomes boring after a few rounds.
