.T.E.S.T: Expected Behavior is a first-person brain twister with a sci-fi plot. On top of logic, you'll need a fast reaction speed, "outside the box" reasoning, and the skill to adapt to unfamiliar situations.

This is a very cool puzzle game with loads of cool mechanics. However, having tons of different puzzle mechanics leads to situations where some of them are not very good. For example, almost half the "Lifts" levels are dreadful and I don't think they can be solved without drawing some sort of diagram on a piece of paper simply due to the amount of moving parts involved. Throw in the fact that some of those levels rely on you using lifts in unconvential manner and it becomes a nightmare. I looked up like 5 of those levels because they are just miserable to do on your own. The rest of the levels are very cool though and throw very interesting concepts and problems at you, I had a lot of fun solving them. There are a couple of levels that require you to have somewhat fast reflexes, but there is a tool in the game that makes it much easier. Oh yeah, and there is also the unfortunate situation with the achievements - there is a set of 10 achievements that require you to complete levels without using some of their mechanics, which sounds fine on paper, but the way they were implemented was half-baked: the devs just set a 0/1000 level counter for each, and you can't reach that because repeating levels does not count and there are only 119 levels in the game. This makes these achievements completely unobtainable, which is a bummer. The devs were last seen on Steam in 2019, so it is not very likely that this is ever going to be fixed, so be warned.

.
I wished this game had full controller support. I know there is Big Picture mode and JoyToKey to simulate keyboard/mouse presses via Xbox One controller buttons, but there's a lot of keybinds the game tells you about that I am simply forgetting what button does what. I am not in a position where WASD and mouse are good to play, which is why I prefer to play my games with a controller. I feel some developers don't even know, consider, or don't care to implement controller support. PC gamers and developers in general give me the vibe that WASD is superior all the time, controllers be damned. This is personal hunch more than fact, and I dislike that feeling of perceived alienation. I've come across this situation a few times while purchasing games. Not sure where the developer stands on controller support. The concept is good, but the execution has much to be desired. I feel the game introduces too many concepts in an short amount of time. Better to refund for now until things improve. I'll keep it on the wishlist.
Not worthy your time. It's a decent puzzle game but it has nothing really going for it. There are two kinds of puzzles, tedious puzzles that just frustrate you and aha puzzles. This game doesn't have any aha puzzles, it just has tutorial puzzles that teach you the mechanics and tedious puzzles that are more a testament to your dexterity and determination than they are your intelligence. And the story it has is just uninspired. If you aren't looking for that aha moment in a puzzle game and are ok with a more skill, as opposed to intelligence based, puzzle game you might want to give it a try. I know I won't ever be finishing this.
