For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. Colorful Recolor is a good idea with faltering execution. Fun-ish for the first half (or a little more) of the game, then very frustrating for the latter half. The goal of the game is to get the crown in every level by moving through it without dying. You can only move into one direction until you stop, change colors by picking up color blobs, and you can only touch the same-colored walls or you die. You can see just from that description that, the bigger (and more gimmicky) the levels get, the harder it'll be to really see what you're doing and to plan your way through the levels without a copious amount of restarts. Well, exactly that happens. As the gimmicks mount (such as keys, teleporters, walls that change color when you touch them), it becomes pretty much impossible to solve levels without trial & error (or staring at a level for an hour working it out in your head, but even that becomes almost impossible in the last world). And if that isn't bad enough, the game does NOT have an undo function which I would consider an absolute necessity. Imagine trying to solve a level that needs 50+ perfect directional inputs and then not being able to undo a wrong input without restarting the whole thing - absolute insanity. That alone would make me not recommend the game and caused me a lot of annoyance. If the idea was a bit more focused and "smaller", Colorful Recolor would've been just a fine little puzzle game with neat pixel art and a simple soundtrack (though a little expensive). Sadly, as it so often happens, it gets off the rails eventually and becomes more frustration than satisfaction. Thus I can't really recommend it.

An interesting idea for a puzzle game, that ultimately is less puzzle and more simon says. Early levels are explorations of interesting mechanics, but middle to later levels largely feel trial and error while memorizing the exact input needed to win. Without nice drawing tools in game, you'll largely have 90% of the puzzle done, think you see the solution, try and fail only to get the luxury of redoing 90% of the puzzle again. I still plan to get the final achievements (would have had them but steam cloud errors prevented that), as the game isn't really hard just tedious. If you're absolutely wanting puzzle sure, but otherwise I don't think I'd recommend.
An okay puzzle game but not very memorable. Would only recommend on sale as asking £7 for this is ridiculous.
Do you want slight challenge for your life while playing puzzle games? The answer lays here with Colorful Recolor! Colorful Recolor is a unique puzzle game with unique mechanics. There are several chapters that introduces new mechanic to the game. The game succeeds with giving mind blowing mechanics! Colorful Recolor teaches mechanics in an excellent way! The game is full of surprises that the player will examine with full of memorable moments. There are only two very minor critiques! Skip button would've been nice add on to the game for the most difficult puzzles! This would allow players to smoothly continue the game without being stuck for a long time in a single puzzle. The second minor critique is this. It would be nice to have checkpoints for the most longest puzzles. This would allow players to continue the game without starting the puzzles at the start. These two are just very minor things that really don't stop the flow of the game. It would've just been nice add on to the game. I do believe that the game deserves 9/10! P.S. I would like to see more puzzle games from the developers of Colorful Recolor! :)
I'm about half-way through and really enjoying this! This game is a spiritual successor to the developer's previous game "Colorful Colore", which takes the good idea that the older one introduced and takes it to the next level! That game lacked here and there, but I think this is fantastic and a must play if you like the premise! The obvious improvements over the previous game include much better and cleaner visuals, more interesting mechanics like switching blocks, the level design here always seems clever, well-thought out and enjoyable to solve, there's an option to overlay a transparent grid to avoid wrong long moves, there's a move queue for when you play fast so that no turns are missed, and it's just overall a huge improvement and a clear recommendation. It does lack an undo feature, but I didn't really miss it on this one as it helps you avoid accidental moves most of the time, so having to restart a level seems fair and isn't very tedious on most of the levels. Overall a great puzzle game that looks good, feels good to control, and satisfying to solve. Play it!
Colorful Recolor proves that a clever gameplay concept can carry an entire puzzle experience without relying on an elaborate story or cutting-edge visuals. Developed by Gagonfe, HugoBDesigner, and Ulon, and published by Gagonfe, this indie title revolves around a deceptively straightforward idea that gradually evolves into a satisfying mental challenge. With 100 handcrafted stages to conquer, the game steadily expands its mechanics while encouraging players to think critically, experiment with different strategies, and embrace trial and error. Its colorful presentation and logical progression make it an inviting experience for newcomers while still offering enough complexity to satisfy dedicated puzzle enthusiasts. The central gameplay mechanic is based on continuous movement. Rather than moving one tile at a time, your character slides in the chosen direction until stopped by an obstacle, making every decision significant. This simple rule transforms each level into a puzzle where planning several moves ahead becomes essential. Players must carefully observe the layout before acting because a single mistake can easily leave them trapped or force a complete restart. The result is a rewarding system that emphasizes careful analysis instead of quick reactions, making every successful solution feel earned. What truly distinguishes Colorful Recolor is its creative use of colors as an essential gameplay mechanic rather than a cosmetic feature. Throughout the adventure, your character constantly changes colors while interacting with the environment, and these color shifts directly affect how obstacles, hazards, and pathways behave. The puzzles become increasingly layered as players encounter a growing variety of gameplay elements, including keys, locked doors, portals, directional devices, disappearing platforms, dangerous hazards, and other interactive objects. Each new mechanic is introduced naturally before being combined with previous ones, ensuring the difficulty rises at a comfortable but consistently engaging pace. The progression across the game's 100 levels is one of its greatest strengths. Early stages serve as effective learning opportunities, teaching individual mechanics without overwhelming the player. As the adventure unfolds, puzzles become significantly more elaborate, requiring players to combine multiple systems within a single solution. The challenge rarely feels unfair because every obstacle follows clearly established rules. Success comes from understanding those rules and recognizing patterns rather than relying on luck, giving the game a satisfying sense of fairness even during its most demanding moments. Visually, Colorful Recolor embraces a clean pixel-art style filled with bright colors that perfectly complement its mechanics. Every object is easy to identify, making the increasingly complicated puzzles readable without unnecessary visual clutter. The different environments provide enough variety to keep the presentation fresh while maintaining a cohesive artistic direction. Although the graphics remain relatively simple, they effectively support the gameplay by ensuring that important interactive elements always stand out. The audio presentation follows a similarly restrained philosophy. Relaxing background music accompanies each puzzle without becoming repetitive or distracting, while sound effects provide clear confirmation for movement, interactions, and successful puzzle completion. This understated approach creates a calm atmosphere that encourages thoughtful problem-solving instead of adding unnecessary tension. Even after repeated failures on particularly difficult stages, the presentation helps maintain an enjoyable pace that encourages players to keep experimenting. Replayability comes primarily from mastering increasingly difficult puzzles and striving for complete completion. Players who enjoy refining their strategies or earning every available achievement will find additional reasons to revisit completed stages. Since each puzzle has been individually designed rather than randomly generated, every solution feels purposeful and carefully crafted. The straightforward structure also makes the game ideal for both short play sessions and extended periods of puzzle solving. Colorful Recolor successfully demonstrates that innovation often comes from refining a single strong idea instead of overwhelming players with countless mechanics. Its intelligent level design, satisfying progression, colorful presentation, and well-balanced challenge combine to create an engaging puzzle experience that remains enjoyable from beginning to end. While the later levels can become genuinely difficult, the consistent logic behind every puzzle ensures that persistence is rewarded with genuine moments of accomplishment. Fans of thoughtful, mechanics-driven puzzle games will find plenty to appreciate in this polished indie title. Rating: 8/10
Joguinho interessante, vale a pena.
