This game sparked a gaming curiosity and competitiveness in me that I haven't had in a long time. This game felt both satisfying and fluid, while also managing to be extremely challenging. While the game only has 20 levels and gameplay is really simple, it managed to keep me entertained and on the edge of my seat for around 10 hours with a sense of accomplishment that no other game in my recent memory has given me. I will definitely be looking more into the FPS > Precision Platformer genre as I believe this game has given me a new favorite after Roguelike/Roguelite. I look forward to potential future updates that might add new levels (hopefully with a different visual style), and new abilities that push this game further.
Could be a good speedrun game in the futur, sadly someone is already cheating ( the "Arlo" guy edited the default speed and default jump. For exemple on the level 5,how he got 88k ? easy, he just edited the speed to 35 ... btw you can remove my time on this level, I just made a test to be sure this guy is cheating, and yes he did, and that's not the only level where he cheated... ) That's the main issue with unity3d games, people can easily edit the source without any knowledge. I hope devs will find a fix to avoid cheaters.

This game is so simple yet amazing. Soundtrack is so good too. It pumps you up. I played the first level till I took the #1 spot on the leaderboard. It can get pretty frustrating and I haven't even got to higher levels yet, but it's a fun. Buy this now! You won't be disappointed. Here is me attempting to beat the record for level 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rb2UGlJ2zDg BTW, Ice Falcon. Whoever you are...I'm coming for your #1 spots buddy.
Personnellement, j'aime bien ce jeu. J'ai pu le tester la veille de sa sortie et je trouve qu'il est correct. Pour son prix, cela vaut le coup. Pour ceux qui aiment tryharder un jeu de parcours.
One of the funnest, high-paced platformers i've ever played.
Cheap, challenging and fun. I recommend it if you're looking for a quick distraction. Level design is varied and the game overall is fun, but I wish it was a bit longer and that there are more power-ups. Other than that, good game.
A good game but my eyes starts to hurt because of the bright colors after half an hour. The soundtrack fits with the game and the game runs smooth. I really like that you can pass levels the way you want to. I'm more into FPS, racing and sandbox games, but i also really like parkour games. I hope this game will grow and become popular.
Sometimes my eyes feel like they are bleeding and the sound is like three tracks. It is fun, hard and it is what I like.
Full review: https://youtu.be/cgb1L83Ab04 What is Synthwave Hop’s major selling point? The fact that it works? Well yeah! The game has simple, but great movement. There wasn’t a moment in the game where I felt the movement was jank. At no point did I feel it was the game’s fault for a death, in fact I enjoyed the movement. As a side effect of me enjoying the gameplay I stay awhile longer. However that’s something I have a love/hate relationship with. The game has 20 different levels. The developer advertises this. While I did say I stayed a little longer replaying some of the earlier levels, I mostly did this because there were only 20 levels. After completing the 20th level I legitimately thought to myself “Wait what? That’s it?” I felt like the game could have explored more ways to build more interesting levels. Now for something I think needs work is the Menus and UI. Let’s start with the menus. From the start up to the level completion menu I believe things can look not only cleaner, but also in the completion and death screen’s case they look like they are under construction. It would be much better looking if you created a synthwave themed menu for both of them. Anyway that said, I believe you should buy the game. It’s cheap so why not!
Great game, the movement is super fluid and satisfying. Can be played to relax or as a competitive outlet. This game is awesome as is - and seems perfectly set up for future expansion if the dev is interested in doing so with more levels or a level editor. (also maybe a timer by the speed to know if you're on pace)
