Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Pretty, but the story felt a bit inconsistent and creepy.
In Sword Daughter, you play as knight and Lady Tyrna. You and your father have hired some Caravan members to escort both of you across a mighty desert on a journey, but even with extra protection, everyone is ambushed by Orcs! You are knocked unconscious and miraculously survive thanks to a Half-Elf Warden, Gavin, who is on a journey of his own. Reluctantly joining you on your quest for vengeance, you both get in way more trouble than you could have ever anticipated. While there are multiple endings, an awful lot of them are very similar with copy/paste dialog. The music was nothing special and the story has so many holes it might actually be swiss cheese. The absolute worst part of Sword Daughter is the romance. Tyrna and Gavin fall in love instantly and she is absolutely ready to go ahead and move in with him and get married before he finishes the first sentence. The best ending is technically a bad ending but honestly, I was ready to burn the entire place to the ground anyway.

Honestly for any faults the game may have in regards to pacing, characterization, etc- the fact that it's a faithful adaptation of a 1980's gamebook makes most of those complaints irrelevant. It truly feels like an old-school choose-your-own-adventure RPG, there were no attempts to modernize or change the story; it is what it originally was, and I respect and appreciate that. I bought this game because it was on sale and tagged as an otome, and I guess it TECHNICALLY is? (for the most part every good ending has you actively beginning a romance with Gavin), but if you're looking for some deep, romantic visual novel plotline this isn't it. If you're looking for 'basic, cute romance with handsome elf' then you'll be satisfied.
Sword Daughter is visual novel with a branching story where the journey to one of the 22 different endings can be as short as an intro or as long as a medium size story. One thing unique in this game is the path menu which lets play from any branching moment in the story and tells which paths you have yet to explore. So there is no need to save at the various branching moments to complete the game. I enjoyed completing the game although some of the endings aren't that different and some choices kinda blend into others, making them kinda redundant. Overall it was fun for me and the soundtrack was fitting, like in the moments where the backgrounds are so beautiful to look at, with a somber background music.
Not an action or adventure game, more Choose Your Own Adventure, which causes the game to feel mis-advertised, as one other review seems to point out, and is probably what kills the game the most. The "Elven Romance" is extremely rushed, with no development or character from either the main or the love interest. A few sentences are all it take to be deeply in love which isn't believable even in a Fantasy with orcs and a dragon The paths tend to be very short, and nothing about this world or what is going is explained...which might work were this not represented as an Epic Fantasy where you might expect actual combat or action scenes. No personalities, no action, no humor, extremely little emotion (The death of Tyrna's father at the start)...it just completely lacks substance other than admittedly gorgeous artwork. A good story can save bad artwork, but good artwork can't save a bad story. If a simple Choose Your Own Adventure is up your ally, wait until this one is on sale, I can't recommend this one otherwise.
Sadly can't really recommend this game. I went in really hoping I'd love it but there are very few choices to make, no ability to create or direct your character and it can be a long way between 'decisive checkpoint' and 'end game'. Overall I really hoped it would be like a Choice of Games game with images but it had none of the depth of a CoG game. I'd definitely recommend you'd spend your money on those and use your imagination than settle for Sword Daughter. It could have been an excellent game if you'd had the option to choose your characters personality a bit more with more choices in game that would do this. Even if they don't have a direct effect on the ending.
Sword Daughter is an older E-Book from 2015, itself a "remaster" of a 1980's Choose Your Own Adventure style book. It's a venerable 10 years old at the time of this review. Sword Daughter is not a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through short passages of rather mediocre "sword & sorcery" 1980's pulp writing. The original CYOA book this is derived from never reached the same levels of popularity as Jackson and Livingstone's Fighting Fantasy game books, or the official Choose Your Own Adventure branded books, either. This somewhat mediocre re-imagining of the E-book doesn't improve things... heck, even the art assets are delivered poorly at just 480p resolution. It's 2025, guys. Come on. 1992 called, they want their graphics resolution back. Visual novels/e-books are tedious at best... imagine the best novel you ever read, be that Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy or 2001: A Space Odyssey or Twilight (if you have terrible taste in literature), but then translate that to a format where the words dribble out and you have to click your mouse every time you wanted to read the next sentence, instead of just turning the pages. You'd think it was garbage. One of the chief problems with authors polluting Steam with non-game E-books is that E-books can easily just be presented in a web browser... there's no justification for charging money on Steam for what might as well be a webpage. We don't spend thousands on buying a gaming rig to spend money on Steam for something Chrome or Firefox could do. Sword Daughter didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the E-Book, either. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the E-Book didn't really capture any interest from readers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is "With A Kiss", takes just a few minutes or one readthrough of this short CYOA, trivial to get, but less than 30 percent of readers bothered to get that far before uninstalling the E-Book. Hardly a success story, even the people who own this E-Book weren't interested in it. Steam isn't a comic book store, neither is it Netflix, it's for games. Your gaming rig is not a Kindle. It's impossible for me to recommend things to PC gamers that aren't really games. Sword Daughter has the almost scam-like price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam. This is also competing with over 14,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
Первая новелла на моей памяти где сложнее не заромансить персонажа а его НЕ романсить
