An eerie horror game set in a weird hotel plagued with bizarre beings and interesting characters. The game utilizes a never-used before environment alongside brand new horror mechanics, one of a kind graphics/art style, and an unnerving story with rich lore to create a unique experience for players.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.

I want to begin this review by saying I think the game's concept and atmosphere are interesting and cool, but it has some glaring flaws that cannot be overlooked. I tried extremely hard to give this game a fair chance and to let it surprise me, but sadly that didn't happen. A few issues that I encountered with this game were: The slow and borderline unskipable dialogue (I literally had an auto clicker on to shave off the extra 2 seconds it took me to skip because it was that laborious), the clunky controls (especially running), and the repetitive nature of each day. Focusing on the repetition for a second, I understand it's supposed to show the monotonous life that those at the Sapphire Hotel experience every day, but I found it exceedingly boring after the first time I participated in breakfast and the second time I participated in a show. The segment where your controls are scrambled was also quite painful. It took me close to an hour to get past it, as every death sends you back to the beginning of the day, which means you have to have breakfast and do the routine all over again. If Swallow The Blue did one thing right, it's that it succeeded in creating a creepy, suspenseful atmosphere with mystical lore and the like. However, at everything else it attempted, it is in my opinion that it failed.

OKAY! Lots to say. This game was executed well I think! Love the vibes and art Faris, you did a good job. The story is cool too. I can see the creepypasta inspiration. Very weird and confusing, if thats what you like then you should consider playing this game. But there is some problems, not anything with the story or art but the game itself. Uncomfortable mechanics Lots of players have already mentioned this but its so important that I have to mention it again. In order to run in game you have to repeatedly press A or D keys. But why not just shift? I get it was probably to enhance the experience but I don't think the experience is more important than the actual way the game plays. Playable first, everything else second. HEY! if you're still reading this block of text I have some advice for you! To run more comfortably use the arrow keys. Repeatedly press them while using the A and D keys for directions. You cannot use arrow keys in the elevator though. Unskippable dialogue The game does give you the option to skip but it is VERY limited. In order to skip you press T or LMB key. I don't have an LMB key so my experience may differ from yours. You can't actually skip any dialogue, the T key only allows you to speed up the typing of the dialogue if that makes sense. Press T, finish the text and then you sit there waiting until another speech bubble pops up cause you can't skip it. Constant glitches and need of resets. This is by far the most frustrating part of the game. Its really unfortunate because it really ruins the entire experience. I'm going to go over a list of bugs I've had during my playthrough(s). 1. Frozen screen after going into the ? washroom. (I think this is programmed to happen but why?) 2. Police Officer scene glitch, Police Officer walks onto shore when not suppose to and Player Character falls into the water unable to get out and without a game over. 3. Missing Fedoras. Like all of them are gone and I did not collect any. 4. Broken Show glitch. I accidentally press E key and I got out of my seat during the show causing the dialogue to repeat itself 3 times. Dialogue was cutting out to 3 of each shows. It is impossible to survive this because you have no clue whats going on, you will have to reset to your last save. I think thats it for the errors that have occurred. The credit music is also absolutely wonderful! Synthwave is one of my favourite genres, I think it would count as synthwave? Anyways, make sure to tell everyone who worked on this good job. If you ever have the chance please fix the glitches, and maybe considered the comments on the mechanics. Thank you for reading. - MC.
If this is the remastered version I would have detested any attempt to play the original. In this version if you do this or that, the game freezes. If you go here or there the game freezes. If you press too many or even mash keys the game freezes. If you think about the game freezing, it freezes. I am just hazarding a guess that this game isn't compatible with Windows 11 Pro, and perhaps it would run on lesser systems... but I don't feel like trying that simply because of the dialog system where you have to slowly struggle through seemingly endless encounters and everyone has something to say. I was disappointed with this game mainly because I had heard a few good thing about it, but in comes reality ruining my every endeavor to at least complete a few days at the Sapphire Hotel.
The game it's actually pretty cool to play, the atmosphere is great at all, but the mechanic of closing the eye only is used two times, but okay, the history is interesting, you get interessed from the start to the end, but sometimes the game just crash randomly(not the crashes from purpouse)
Harry and Bawls are the best character in the game btw "Together We Are Harry Bawls!!"
I've played most of the free Euphoric Brothers games up to this point and by far this may be one of the worst of the lot, although 'How we got here' is confusing as it gives little direction in what to do, this takes the cake with how many times the game continues to break while I play and in such a short amount of time too.
tomei um susto tao grande q fiquei com a cabeça doendo
Il gioco è fatto talmente male da essere ingiocabile e frustrante (non difficile)
