I was able to play in the past, and liked what I'd played, but now I cannot grab the controllers at the beginning of training, so I'm stuck there at the very beginning. Using Vive Pro with 2018 controllers.
With a Valve Index you cannot pick up the controllers at the start of level 1, which blocks progress to the rest of the game. Shame, it looked fun.
So I just now finally got around to completing this game. Kind of a mix between escape room / logic puzzle with a story over it. I was left wanting more and can't wait to see where the story go's! Fantastic atmosphere and design, quite immersive. The initial feeling of curiosity never left me it only grew more and more intense as I progressed through the game. Will DEFINITELY pick up the sequel!

Pretty good puzzle game. I got this game because it offers a wide variety of escape rooms to experience instead of locking you into one location for the entirety of the game. I really enjoy the voice acting and light story. The only problem I've had is that some of the objects behave oddly and feel too light or just weird. Good game overall.
A glitchy escape room style game with a dusting of creativity, undeveloped worlds, very simple puzzles, and a complete unsatisfying ending for its story. Meh.
I wish the graphics were better. Story doesn't really pull you in. Still a good VR adventure game
The game starts out really strong with the first 2 missions and then devolves into poorly executed, illogical puzzles with the graphics going downhill at about the same pace. A shame as it showed real promise at the start but it seems in the effort to make the puzzles harder, they just made them nonsensical
Review
SVRVIVE: The Deus Helix is a fantastically fun puzzle-solving game that features interesting, unique environments and an intriguingly mysterious storyline. There are 6 levels, each wildy different and a bit more challenging than the last. I highly recommend this game for those looking for a relaxing (albeit sometimes rather spooky), yet challenging, VR experience that will make you think outside the box to overcome your obstacles. The campaign is packed with over 4 hours of mind-bending content that will keep you entertained throughout and wanting more when it's over. Now, that isn't to say that this game is perfect - there are a few small flaws. They are only minor issues; however, and really don't take away from the game. For example, there were a few occurrences where I was able to stick my head through a locked door or area, allowing me to see content that should have been otherwise unaccessible to me at the time. Even though this didn't break the game, it sometimes made it easy for me to guess what the next steps to solving the puzzle would be. It would be nice if there were physical barriers in-game that stopped players from being able to peek through unaccessible areas. Also, there were a few instances where I felt that it was hard to determine if an object was interactable or not. I bought this game for use with my Oculus Rift when I saw that it was on sale for $11.01 (42% off). At this price, the game is a steal. I would still recommend this game at full price due to the amount of entertainment value that it offers. Not many VR titles offer this amount of content at such a low price. Pros

6 fun, challenging puzzles
Interesting, unique environments
Mysterious storyline
4+ hours of playable content
Cons

Progress is saved only after beating a level - if you quit the game in the middle of a level, you'll have to restart it next time you play
It is sometimes hard to tell if an object is interactable
There are a few minor bugs that could use some polishing

Tips
Although obvious, here's one quick tip that I recommend you use in order to ensure that you'll enjoy this game without frustration: make sure that your Room Scale is calibrated properly before playing. More importantly, make sure that your floor level is calibrated properly. When I first played the game, my floor level was set a bit higher than it should have been, which resulted in occurrences where I was unable to pick up certain small items off the ground. After recalibrating my sensors; however, my issues were resolved.
I remember playing this previously on a friend's system. It's part of what made me want to get a VR system. But.... if I'd actually gotten to the same 'place' in the game as I am now, I'd have probably been put off getting into VR. The music is annoying after about 5 minutes in each level. The puzzles vary from reasonable to obtuse. I honestly ended up stuck in the pirate ship, trying to figure out how to get a door open. The game was no help in my being stuck and when I looked online for help, the closest I got was a "never mind I figured it out". I also ran into the controllers issue and had to resort to the developer method of 'editing the app data file' to bypass it. If I could request a refund, I probably would, but I was sadly determined to try and solve the issue. Edit: For anyone else stuck on the pirate ship - it involves a sword and a cannon. I had to watch someone else have the exact same problem with a Dev response to get that solution.
