if you have a vr headset buy the vr version this one is just simply trash the ambulance surgeries are extremly easy to softlock as every item inculding the organs you need to complete will fly around and fly out of the ambulance eventually also dont bother trying to get achivements they dont work

After 5 hours I somehow adapted like Mahoraga and speedran through 75% of all the achievements and got a lot of A++. Basically the game is hard but when you know how to actually play then its not actually that bad.. well except for the trump achievements and a few speedrun achievements. Anyways 8.5/10 good game but the developers should really make a few achievements easier and revert the surgical laser to its old self because its almost impossible to use it and get the achievement.

When done right, bad controls can make a game more enjoyable and make you laugh in a mixed emotional bag of joy and frustration. And this is coming from someone who enjoys only certain Tetris games and tries a crazy amount of controllers to find the right d-pad just to get the feel right. The ugh factor in all of this is that Surgeon Simulator 2, basically a co-op version of this one, had its multiplayer functionality removed, so whoever bought that one basically has a botched version now. This fact almost made it not want to recommend this game, but instead say to get this while it's on sale or from g2a or something. lol. Anyway, Surgeon Simulator is fun, even the OG version before any updates.

Ok so, mind you, I only have 47min (at the time of this review) because I used to own this game in a different Steam account, but I've been playing it way longer. I honestly don't really understand all the talk about the controls. I'm the first one that gets annoyed easily in games, and honestly, the controls in Surgeon Simulator are fine. I don't remember majorly struggling with them at any point. Still a fun game 13 years later with a lot of replayability value, especially with the achievements. Worth the price.
