any land unit can not be grouped and given directions...WTF seriously!!! ♥♥♥♥ you Guys!!!
It has an easy to follow tutorial. The graphics are older but the game interaction (i.e. diplomatic, economic and military) makes it an interesting way to burn a couple of hours on a rainy day
Игра отличная, но отсутствие поддержки кириллицы со стороны разработчиков выглядит как откровенное неуважение к русскоязычным игрокам

This is a nice game, especially if you recognize it's potential. It is a rough gem that needs polishing. If the developers would improve the AI to better build basic things, like more infrastructure, and to better coordinate it's forces in combat, then it would become a true shinny diamond. The best fun and challenge will be achieved if you pick a micro nation with low to no industrial capacity and, more importantly, low population. In this instance, where lots of micro and planning must be made to control relations and keep the economy in check, this is where I have the most fun. Playing a Mongolia with 647k inhabitants and no industrial output and turning it into a respectable nation is a great reward.
Supreme Ruler The Great War is a wonderful addition to the series. Wars are a little slower and more stagnant as to be expected for WW1. It's cool to see the inclusion of WW1 ships, planes and tanks. For me I really do like adding another 30 years of alternate history to my multi-hour long games. This game uses the same engine as Supreme Ruler Ultimate but the AI also feels a tad different. But that might be the nature of nations being given less manufacturing capabilities in 1914. Being the first nation to wield an air force is also fun. Much like the 1936 WW2 sandbox the developers went all out with nation specific units. It's interesting to modernize after a WW1 conflict and decide whats worth keeping. (Also if you rush nuclear weapons research as a major nation you can have the bomb by the late 1920s lol.) By the off chance you are new to this franchise and this game seemed cool (Don't worry it is) I'd instead recommend you by Supreme Ruler Ultimate. SRU has the same mechanics but has sandboxes for WW2, The Cold War and even Modern (2017) Times. It's simply a more content filled game for the same $19.99 Price. (Buying this game will add the WW1 sandbox to SRU as a dlc though) I give it an 80/100. Fun DLC for those that like the time period.
The simulation clearly has something going for it - playing as Russia in the alternate history sandbox, my frontline with Germany wound up looking quite similar to Russia and Germany's actual frontlines in World War Two. Our war went very similar in the beginning to the actual World War One as well. Germany declared war on my ally France and I thought that we could spread them thin and destroy them with France from the west and Russia from the east. My Russia had initial successes, but Germany quickly redeployed and began pushing me farther and farther back. They've taken all of Eastern Europe and I am currently essentially reenacting the Siege of Leningrad (St. Petersburg in WWI). Of course, my war has a distinctive World War One feeling despite the WWII-esque events that have taken place. The trenches are an excellent addition to the game, much like WWI my frontline has become a static stalemate for in-game years as parts of my network of trenches get taken and retaken. Austria-Hungary is very much a Great Power and batters my frontline cities, which are only barely being held through mass artillery. Chemical weapons flew freely at first, but quickly became a minor nuisance at best to the industrialized nations as protective gear was researched and developed. Not that any of this keeps you bound to simply replaying the World Wars as we know them. The most fun comes with creating your own history. Like Great Powers historically did, I found my population declining by unsustainable amounts that would eventually crash my economy and destroy my war effort as people fled my war-torn nation and conscripts were shoveled by the truckload into the meatgrinder of the frontline trenches. Desperately needing more bodies, I began to look on the vast yet unindustrialized population of China with hungry eyes. My poison gasses having become nearly obsolete against the Central Powers, I relocated them to the east. Even though I began the game fully intending to play as an honorable nation that behaved gallantly, I now found myself reduced to declaring war on a neutral nation, using chemical weapons on their unprotected civilians in order to throw the survivors into the thousand-mile charnel house of my western trenches. Very epic, thoroughly recommend if you are into World War One settings.
