About
Super Meat Boy 3D is a tough as nails platformer where you play as an animated cube of meat who's trying to save his girlfriend (who happens to be made of bandages) from an evil fetus in a jar wearing a tux – IN 3D!
Our meaty hero will leap from walls, over seas of buzz saws, through crumbling caves and pools of old trash sacrificing his own well-being to save his damsel in distress – IN 3D!
Super Meat Boy 3D brings the old school difficulty of classic retro titles we all know and love and streamlines them down to the essential no bull straight forward twitch reflex platforming. Ramping up in difficulty from hard to soul crushing Meat Boy will brave lush (but also on fire) forests, vast dumps filled with the waste of mankind, and high-tech forges producing the very traps that will inevitably kill Meat Boy over and over and over - IN 3D!
And if a bunch of levels weren't enough, we also have epic boss fights and tons of unlockable secrets – IN 3D!

Tough-as-nails precision platforming action
Brutal, but fair levels designed to break you.
Boss. Fights.
Dark World levels so tough, you'll scream in the rain at a bus stop.
A soundtrack that was once described by a Guitar Center employee as “hey, either buy the guitars or get out. We’re seriously going to call the cops!”
3D!

Reviews
This is a bit of a mixed review. I'm ultimately recommending it, but there are some disappointments. Super Meat Boy 3D does an excellent job of bringing the feel of the original game into the 3D space. There are the spikes and buzzsaws that need to be avoided, fans and conveyor "belts" to be navigated, walls to climb up and jump off of, etc. All of the mechanics brough over from the og feel really good and things work like you would expect them to. They even kept the "glitch" where a first-frame jump on touching a wall causes you to slide up rather than jump off. It's clear they put a lot of work into actually making this game feel like Meat Boy, just in 3D. Where the game starts to struggle is in the implementation of some new mechanics (some taken from other game franchises) that didn't quite work for me. Too many levels (especially in later worlds) felt a bit too auto-scrolly in the sense that you were very much locked into a specific cycle and didn't really have a way to go faster (or slower, for that matter). Most of these "locked-in cycles" were directly related to new mechanics that were kinda just forced. Another big negative was the soundtrack. Obviously Danny B's work in the original is gonna be hard to beat. At this point, I feel like we're way past the best work Ridiculon has to offer, and this one feels like it was phoned in. So bland and forgetful. One last disappointment was the warp zone levels. The first one got me REALLY excited, but the rest were VERY uninspired. I would like to have seen more use of the unlockable characters in the warp zones, like in the original. At the end of the day, the parts of the game where they just took the original Meat Boy and said "let's make this work in 3D" were so good, I wish they'd taken that approach with the whole game. I had an enjoyable time with most of the playthrough, and that's why I'm giving it a thumbs-up.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

og smb still harder but damn did this game make me rage
i almost broke my controller in anger 10/10
JEUX EXCELLENT
Overall pretty good can definitely recommend for those craving for 3d platformer. It takes little bit getting used to going diagonal in this but once you learn it becomes natural. Sprint as default setting is mandatory for me, I dont know why it is not as default. The last world balancing feels a bit off, some of the stages took me half an hour and some just took one attempt. All of the other worlds feels okayish on the balance. Music is great and fits the meatboy theme. The cutscenes are beautiful but if you are looking for a deep meaning in story this is not really that, it is simply bad guy that and chase bad guy until bad guy gone. Nothing wrong with that. Some of the dr fetus stage beating animations look pretty cheap but those are just few nitpicks. Overall, I think the devs really gave the original a nice 3d adaption on the series. Recommended!
I love playing with my meat, now in 3D!!!
The public wasn’t too optimistic about this game prior to its release. Fortunately I found super meat boy 3d to be a very good surprise! It has all the qualities I expect from a “small” platform game. The controls feel good and responsive and the levels are fun and fair to play. Some people reported that they have a hard time navigating in the 3d environment or that the camera makes the players misinterpret the exact position of the character. I agree that there is indeed a small adaptation time. As for myself, I was able to quickly adapt and didn’t have any issues after that. The levels keep introducing new and interesting ideas, it makes the player want to push forward. If you want additional harder content all the levels have their dark world counterpart (like in super meat boy). Overall nice game and worth the money
Even though it's 3D now, it still strongly feels like the first game (which is a good thing for me). The additions of the air dash and wall-running are really cool and give you some flexibility to save yourself. Sometimes you can completely dodge obstacles by going around them in 3D (instead of over) which can lead to some clever moments. This felt a little easier than what I remembered the first game as. But I think that's fine. The precision of Meatboy and Super Monkey Ball don't need to combine into some unholy rage-game.
