For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Very good shoot 'em up in the classic retro style instead of the more modern "bullet hell" style. In fact, it feels like a throwback to Gradius. Don't get me wrong, there can still be a lot of bullets, but it's limited most of the time. That being said, I still suggest playing at Rookie difficulty with three hits instead of just one at Pilot difficulty to avoid frustration. The game looks nice. Pixelated but in high resolution, detailed and not blurry, unless you enable the CRT monitor effect. Lots of levels with branching paths, even optional more difficult ones. About a half dozen different options for each of the three ship systems, but they're unlocked gradually and don't feel overwhelming. The game controls very well with both d-pad and analog stick. Remote play together coop works well, even with Steam Deck. The only minor criticism would be that the power-up improvements of the weapons inside the level are not visible until they're at maximum. Finished in coop in around 4 hours, having to replay the longer last level many times. Probably much longer in singleplayer and/or at Pilot difficulty (one hit). If you have speed issues, set your monitor's refresh rate at 60. Super Hydorah is a satisfying and complete shoot 'em up package.

It's good! The best part for me was routing the weapons to make the harder levels more manageable. Every stage is distinctive and the moment to moment level design is overall really good. The only critiques I have is that there's too much downtime with the story & some slow sections (like the boss rush checkpoint for example) and that it's trivially easy to savescum to obtain what should be the harder achievements.
Bardzo przyjemny shmups. Pamiętam jak wiele lat temu ogrywałem chyba darmową wersję. Tutaj mamy bardziej dopracowany produkt i chyba z większa zawartością.
no proper controller support. not even steam controller in the settings worked. this is trash. I've tried every controller I have and it was not registering for some reason (and they work fine in other games). I wanted to enjoy the game but on keyboard it's a bad experience
The wall damage is extremely annoying. No good way to deal with enemies that shoot next to you or sometimes that fire along a narrow corridor with no room to dodge. In comparison, Gradius is generally fair if you do not do anything stupid. This one is straight up "memorize the level." One of the worst in its genre game-design-wise. WEAK. At least it ran well on a potato, though unfortunately it is not fun due to constant wall damage and enemy patterns you can do nothing about. Also most of the guns are useless and underpowered and the enemy health increases as the game goes on, meaning you effectively do not have the freedom to use the previous guns due to a severe lack of firepower. This was never an issue in Gradius (okay, Ripple always sucked though you did not have to use it).
Been in a shmup mood lately and realized I never wrote a review for this gem. It's a solid shooter throughout, with a decent level of challenge--while still being fair enough for a novice to learn--and plenty of stuff to shoot, with a variety of weapons to choose from. And of course the music is excellent, as is tradition for the genre. Point of note, this was actually the first indie game I was ever introduced to, back when it was just a freeware title that my older brother brought home on a USB stick. I still remember the first time I actually completed that entire thing without dying, that was a damn milestone for me. This newer version of the game is still challenging (especially as there are more levels to play through) but I couldn't help but feel like it wasn't as difficult, even without using the easy difficulty mode (which gives you a shield with every life, something you had to earn in the freeware version). Maybe I'm just getting better at these games. :P Overall, definitely a worthwhile venture for enjoyers of shmup games.
