Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Sep 2 → 2.43/day in the week after.

A Liberation Army is rising up in an act of rebellion against an oppressive rule.

The Story of Suikoden II
Our story's hero and his friend Jowy are members of the Unicorn Youth Brigade, which participated in a drawn-out border dispute between the Highland Kingdom and the City-States of Jowston .
A few months earlier, a truce agreement was signed between the two forces, both of which were happy to see an end to the fighting.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 30: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I wish I had more time to put into the game... because it's a hell of a game. Used to play this on the PSX.. building a castle, collecting an army, large battles, was mind blowing back in the late 90's. So what do we get? You get a weird PSX port that honestly would look better if you ran the PSX game on an emulator to clean up the sprites. On a 4k screen the art suffers due to severe pixilation... even with the enhanced (upscale) visuals. Audio is good. World map/art looks very nice. The game is a hero collect a ton. You need the right people or things or conditions in your group to gather everyone up... and the more people you have the larger your army gets. Each hero is playable. I just wish I had more time to sink into the game. Should you own it? Yes. Is it fun? Yes. I really want them to remaster/port the PS2 games to Steam as the series really builds over the future games.
This is a very old school RPG. I played it when it came out on PS1. It has an interesting story as well as breaking away from the RPG style to have all out wars with massive amounts of troops. You decisions in these massive battles decide how much stronger the LIberation Army gets. IF you like OLD SCHOOL RPG's with a little twist, its good. My favorite part is recruiting people as you go along... people you talk to have interesting skills like baking, wood working etc, ALL can make you better when you know where..... no, no spoilers!
What can I say? I’ve been a fan since I was a kid, fumbling through Suikoden I before I even understood English. I love these remastered versions so much that I see no reason to play the originals again, even though I still own both physical PS1 discs.
