Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.13/day in the week to Jul 21 → 0.4/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If this game is ‘short’, what’s to stop me getting a refund when I’m done?
You’re browsing Steam, which means you understand the work that goes into games, and are in principle up for paying for ones that entertain you. We hope that after a bit of time with Subsurface Circular, you’ll feel good about the price you paid.
Why is the game only available in English?
As you can imagine, a text adventure game contains a terrifying amount of text, but more importantly, throughout the game we use the particular quirks of word ordering and double meaning in English to support the combination and recombination of threads. Put simply, other languages are going to be more than a straight translation: They’re going to need rewrites and changed design. Not impossible, but more than we could get done this time around.

Sums Steam only; Nintendo publishes no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Me encanta, lo jugué después de su secuela espiritual Quarantine Circular. Pese a que me gustó más su secuela, este juego es excelente. Me encanta.
Absolutely incredible story, the end genuinely makes you step back and think before making an incredibly difficult decision that decides the fate of the game's universe Recommend for anyone, so worth the small price
A short little sci-fi mystery story unburdened by complicated skill trees, tedious exploration, or distracting side quests. Just you, a train, and a colourful cast of robots to chat with as they help you piece together a conspiratorial puzzle. I do wish the story was a bit longer and richer and some of the mechanics more in-depth (especially one late-game segment that was an interesting spin on the game's already well-established formula), but this is quite a fun way to spend an afternoon (or evening).

A short text-based adventure with an excellent, thought provoking narrative.
Interesting dialogue puzzle game. Enjoyed the story--reminiscent of detroit become human.
Krótka gra narracyjna,bunty robotów spoko.
Beautiful little game for being a very short text-based game with very few actual decisions. There are a few puzzles but its mostly just talking until you hit a roadblock, then talking to someone until you get enough info to then go back. It's definitely more about ambiance, and getting to chat with an interesting cast with their own little quirks while unraveling a persistent sense of unease. Not at all challenging and, as with many detective games, you'll figure things out before the game's options let you pursue them, but the context of the game and the player character gives a little space and justification for this limitation. The larger plot and stakes fall a little flat right at the end. Again, the framework of an entirely robotic cast and a player-character who comes close but pointedly does not reach human thinking covers for this weakness a little, adding something a little poignant instead of just lackluster and disappointing, but it does feel like it just misses the mark. Worthwhile (especially on sale) if you like the idea of a few hours of dialogue-based narrative and some lovely robot designs in a industrial subway, but definitely more about mood than anything else. If you're looking for a challenge, a complicated mystery, high energy, or any kind of action, this probably won't be fun.
Loved the universe, felt lukewamm about most characters, strongly disliked others. Loved the game mecanics, hated the empty story. But I'm baised because I love everything Ai in fiction so, whatever. Bithel is brainwashed bout real world politics and this game also have huge blind angles and bias, but they are not so annoying and blantant, if not vilent, than in say Quanratine Circular. Here, the LGBT stuff make sense and fit the universe very well. It's very cool. And you're not going to read me saythis often. Sadly. What really annoyed about this game is how it's teks vs humans, and AI able to emulate feeling forcibly equelas to slavery and a need to make the world burn. That's. so old. And stupid. Imagine burning cars to give a voting right to every ChatGTP instance?
I love the aesthetic design of the world and the robots, and the musical score is fantastic if a bit understated. Its a extremely narrative heavy game, but well worth it in the end when it all ties itself together. It's hard to talk much about without spoiling, so you should go in blind. Was not expecting a Thomas Was Alone sequel.
