Cats Organized Neatly

Would I recommend this game to a friend? Only if they had a cat, because that's surely the biggest reason why this game is so popular. If you swapped out all the cats for bricks, I really don't think [i]Bricks Organized Neatly[/i] would have such a high review score. The problem is the gameplay. Besides the slightly unreliable controls, later levels become trial and error. You can't "git gud" at Cats Organized Neatly, you can only get lucky. With so many possible combinations, it becomes a real chore trying different ways, only for the last cat not to fit. So how could the devs improve the game enough for me to flip this score to positive and buy another game in the series? Well, how about a hint system? Click a button to show the correct placement of the first one, two or three cats. That would really help direct the player towards the solution, and be completely optional.

I have quite a mixed opinion on Cat Organized Neatly. The concept is really cute, and I really enjoyed the overall atmosphere, especially the little cat sounds that make the game feel relaxing and charming. I also liked that each level introduces new cats with different shapes and designs, which makes you want to keep playing to discover the next ones. However, I sometimes struggled with the visual contrasts. Some elements were not very easy to distinguish, which made certain levels less enjoyable and a bit frustrating to play. Even though the idea is very sweet and the cats are adorable, these visual issues affected my overall experience.

The cats are, in-fact, organized neatly. The difficulty scales consistently and offers a fair challenge.

Ignore play time, I accidentally left the game idling in the background while working on other things. It was more like eight or nine hours play time. Game is cute, fun, and if you get it on sale it's not like it will put you out much at all. The only reason I do NOT recommend this game is because it is called "cats organized neatly" and so I expected to be organizing cats neatly. Not organizing cats, cats-but-actually-squirrels, cats-but-actually-ferrets, cats-but-actually-dogs, cats-but-actually-deformed-eldritch-abominations-of-fat-and-tentacles-that-are-supposedly-limbs-and-tails, etc. The art is not cute. Birds Organized Neatly? They all looked like birds. Dogs Organized Neatly? they mostly looked like dogs and there were just a few that were not particularly cute or dog-like. The animals in this game are are only 50/50 on looking like cats. Gameplay itself is fine, like the other Organized Neatly titles. Get it if you want the complete set, but don't get expecting the cats to look like cute cats.

Lovely little puzzle game. I adore the figures, and the meow sounds have attracted my own fur baby to watch me play.

A great puzzle game for people who like cats. The levels get pretty hard and give you no hints, but there are a few walkthroughs posted for when you get stuck (and yes, I said when, not if). The soundtrack was relaxing and gave the puzzles a cozy vibe. I liked how the cats meow and react when you spin them. They're so silly and I love that.
