Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.

Was fun until my parish steward who's 10 times my size wiped me off the map for asking him a simple question of can he help cure some disease in the parish. Perfect simulation of medieval England I'd say.
I've tried this game out a few times, and I actually have to recommend against it, the last time I played it I jumped on a new server, got a fresh start leveled up my technology troops and what not for about two days. Then I get a message from the leader of my county, saying that if I don't reach a certain point of progress within 5 days. He was gonna raze me to the ground, because he doesn't want any weaknesses. I was a free to play player, there was no way I'd reach that point in 5 days, So I left a message saying I was quitting the game, and left haven't played it since. it's been about maybe 7 years since then I guess. I keep forgetting this game exists, so figured it was about time I make a review, the worst aspect of this game, isnt the time gates or the pay to win elements. It's the fact that your neighboring players, are just as much your enemy as rival kingdoms are. Which is why I will never recommend this game, it's fine you're having fun and enjoying it, but I gave this game multiple chances in the end, my experience was ruined by my fellow players.

Everytime I want to play to this game I play it 4days since I have the newcomer protection then when its down people are just rude and erase my progression by attacking me, even though I said I am a new player and want to learn to play, some helped me with tips and guidance but people that do not want to let others learn the game just ruin the fun.
Honestly, decent game ruined by the Premium Token system. So much is locked behind a paywall. Want multiple research slots? Want to know where the best and worst prices are? Want to build more than one thing at once? Want to make it so that people coming to your village don't eat everything in the night? You gotta pony up. Not even the trading cards are earned through time spent. Too many quality of life features locked behind a paywall. At least Rise Of Kingdoms let you scout gems around the map. They have sales, but it feels like you need a subscription so you're not light years behind.

Мой замок настолько мирный, что враги заходят туда как к себе домой.
Круто конечно , открыли новую карту , но для РФ закрыли игру!))
The fact I have 45 hours on the clock and absolutely ZERO memories of this game is astonishing, but also kind of creepy. Like, I still remeber playing Left 4 Dead 2 back in 2013 and I remember who I played with, I even still have these guys as steam friends. But not this game, nothing at all comes to my mind, no screenshot brings me back to 2013-2014 and the nostalgia that comes with it. Which is why I'm guessing this game is simply not memorable and there are likely better strategies out there.
Not recommended. Years of play, an exploit active for months, and support that replies with copy and paste. I have been playing Stronghold Kingdoms for years, across several worlds. I am not writing because I lost an attack: I am writing because the game has reached a point where playing fairly no longer makes sense. On Europe 10 something precise and repeatable keeps happening: every time an enemy House coordinates a massive attack on our top players, the players under attack get kicked out of the server with the error "Your session has timed out" and cannot log back in until the attacks have landed. Only them, only at that moment, with their connection working perfectly on everything else. An entire alliance is experiencing this, not a single player. We have done everything that can be done: videos, screenshots with the server time visible, dozens of tickets opened by different players with the same evidence. Firefly's answer was identical for everyone, word for word: a pre-written message that does not address the issue, does not ask for details, does not promise anything. No technician has ever looked at the problem. The exploit is still there. The result is a game where those who cheat win, and those who pay to play fairly watch their village fall from a login screen. The concept is still great and the community is the only thing keeping this game alive. But an online game with known, documented and unfixed exploits, and a support team that answers with a template, deserves neither your time nor your money. If you are thinking about starting or buying packs: wait until Firefly shows it listens to the people paying for it.
