Gold standard beat'em up gameplay, art style is beautiful, music is peak, and the story is the perfect amount of tongue & cheek and honors the spirit of the previous games. Also you *can* have up to 4 players via Remote Play Together (not just 2 which is the normal multiplayer limit), the DLC is totally worth it and not just a bunch of cosmetics, and the whole package (game + DLC) is very reasonably priced. It's pretty much everything you could ask for from a solid beat'em up game and then some. Look, a lot of games can leave you with regrets or feeling like you didn't get your money's worth or that you need to become part of some complex psuedo-political Discord community to get all the info you're missing out on. Thank goodness SOR4 is not one of those games. It feels good, it feels complete, no need for out of game involvement anywhere, and the fun I've had playing it solo or with my friends has been well worth the money several times over. No regrets. TLDR: If you want an excellent beat'em up game as a go to good time when you're not in the mood for your other games, you found it.
