Starsand Island is a good game with a lot of potential, but in its current state (as of early access) might not be for everyone. The Good: If you like the busy work of maintaining a farm and doing commissions while balancing other skills such as fishing and mining, you will likely enjoy this game. There is always something to do and the developers have put a lot of thought into how various skills and systems interact with one another. It is very reminiscent of the base gameplay loop of fulfilling commissions in My Time At Sandrock. The Bad: It has to be said- the characters of Starsand Island are is the game's biggest weak point, in my opinion. It's a shame too. The character designs are top notch and reading through the bios and blurbs for the characters, there's a ton of personality there- but despite having multiple hearts with most of the characters, they all feel like background characters. I have yet to experience any events or hangouts beyond a fetch quest or two. This leaves you feeling like kind of an outsider even a couple seasons in. I'm hoping this is a byproduct of the game being early access and that the team will add more interactions/events with the full release, but- as true with all early access- there are no guarantees. Final Thoughts: There's a huge amount of potential for the game and as they say Rome wasn't built in a day. I'd highly recommend picking up the game if you enjoy the mechanics of farming sims, were a fan of the My Time at Sandrock's gameloop, or are just looking to support a passionate team.

The mechanics for play in this game- how one aspect of the farming hooks into another so you can never really focus on just one part- seem polished and interesting, if a bit resource greedy. The world is well designed and absolutely beautiful, and all the characters are unique aesthetically. The freedom you have in building and decorating your homes is enormous. I really enjoy how they have blended science and magic (as a product of environment, not as a thing humans can do). I also really like how the Moonlit Forest is not a one-and-done place, but is somewhere you must constantly return to for resources. As a low pressure cozy farming life sim, it's great, and a wonderful way to relax. That being said, there is no over arching plot- you very much need to make your own story. Each of the NPCs has a very limited personal story that provides no character growth or insight and mostly serves as a way to get to know the basics of their personalities. Romance and friendship have no distinction wrt events, leaving you with the impression that every one of the romanceable characters is in love with you if you go on any dates with them at all. The romance is extremely limited and seems to reach its conclusion at the stage where the two of you are just coming to realize mutual feelings, or are just about to confess them. "Moving in" as their version of marriage is buggy and I have not had it work consistently. I know this is an early access game- however the story feels not merely unfinished, but entirely absent. I think the only exception I can see so far is the Adventurer career path with Zephyria, as it gates progression in the Moonlit Forest. That part does feel like a cool exploration story, and left me feeling very Indiana Jones. I would not recommend buying this at full price at this time, but I would definitely recommend buying it on a sale. It's a gorgeous game aesthetically, and I've been very pleased with character and base customizations. I'm very much looking forward to the complete version.

Oyun çok tatlı ve cozy bir vibe veriyor, insanın içini rahatlatıyor. Oynaması bir süreye kadar oldukça keyifli fakat sonrasında tek düze bir şekilde ilerlediği için insanı sıkıyor. Tabii ki bu oyunun sonlarına doğru olduğu için normal olabilir bunların dışında mükemmel, rahatlamak ve kafa dinlemek istiyorsanız kesinlikle oynanır
Ich Liebe Farm Games und Anime und beides zusammen ist eine tolle kombination.. Ich liebe die My Time At Reihe schon sehr... Starsand Island ist noch ein ticken niedlicher :).. Es ist ein liebevolles diseintes spiel. es mach einen riesen spass dieses Spiel zu spielen... Ich freue mich auf die Vollversion und das es noch auf anderen Konsolen kommt.. Allerdings hätte ich gerne eine richtige Story gehabt und ein besseres Lovesystem. zb Orte wo man mit dem Partner hingehen könnte und ein Child system gerne auch.. und bitte mehr schöne Kleider ;) So Cool das man endlich Autos und Boote in einem Farmspiel benutzen kann, allerdings gibts keine richtigen Orte wo es sich lohnen würde wo hin zu fahren.. Ansonsten Finde ich es so wundervoll dieses Spiel... Eines meiner absoluten lieblings games definitiv... Freue mich schon auf den 2 Teil ,,, HiHI Hoffentlich ;)
