Starsand Island

For this being in its early access, there are some things that work well and some things that don’t. This game is decent for early access, but it’s not worth its asking price (unless it's on sale). The game looks wonderful on PC. The stores and houses are very unique and nicely decorated. I didn't experience any drips in the frames, but I have experienced times where I would either get stuck or characters would clip or walk through things. The game feels a lot similar to My Time at Sandrock (and with the graphics favoring Heartopia) with its crafting mechanics. The customization is what stands out when it comes to character customization and furniture decoration. The building mechanics have a lot of features and ways to build your farm, but it's to the point that it may overwhelm someone who is new or not experienced in building. The main thing this game lacks is the story and the lack of development within their characters. There is very little voice acting, and in the intros for the dateable characters, you can barely hear them. The dateable characters’ greetings are always the same, and I have experienced receiving gifts from characters even without being on friendship level 1. The main quest feels more like a chore, where one quest requires you to talk to one person, get the materials, and then talk to another person on the other side of the island and complete their task. The NPCs' dialogue is also bland. It seems like it’s not until you have a high friendship level is when the NPCs' dialogues change. The combat mechanics are very underwhelming, with only having ranged weapons, and no creative way to dodge attacks or having the use of melee or other unique weapons at least at the start of the game. The farming is a little different however, adding features like weeding, which placing rabbits and chickens can help with the plant's growing phase. However, making food for the ducks and chickens requires byproducts from rabbits and crops, which ruins the benefits of owning them. Obtaining seeds from the caves is quite easy, but the crops that sell for the most money are very pricey at the plant store. So far I am enjoying this game, but I really hope the devs notice these hiccups and add more features to enhance the characters, story, and gameplay. The game has heart, but it really needs to sit on the stove a little bit longer for it to be worth $40+. 很多功能玩起来真的非常香，例如使用箱子的时候可以直接切换，荧月之森里面建造箱子也可以和家里的箱子互通，给npc送东西也可以用箱子里的，每一个商店都有简易制作台，很大程度的节省了重复跑图的时间。画风也实在精美，荧月之森里的怪和植物都太好看了，画风超级好评，玩到目前位置唯一不足的就是丢东西，费老大劲刚做好的包子 ，刚收取就不见了 总体还是很好的
