About

An entire universe awaits you in Stars Reach. In this science-fantasy MMORPG, you'll visit strange, new worlds, become an explorer, and build a life on planets that react to everything you do. Your choices will change your world. And, you'll do it with every other player on a single server. Leave your mark on the galaxy!
Each world responds to your actions. A deep, reactive simulation allows water to flow naturally, forests to burn, and lava to harden into new materials and land masses. From lush forests to winding rivers to perilous mountains, every planet has its own ecosystems, resources, and challenges. Your decisions determine what resources are available to you, how wildlife reacts, and ultimately which settlements prosper.
Planets are living systems. Your decisions determine what resources are available to you. Climate changes, creatures migrate, disasters strike, and the world reacts in ways you can’t fully control.
Travel through wormholes to discover new worlds, explore, build, survive, and thrive. Every planet begins untouched. What it becomes is up to you.
Master one of dozens of skill paths, and live the galactic life you’ve always dreamed. Whether you want to protect settlers as a ranger, build a trade empire, or offer your services as an architect, Stars Reach offers many skill paths that allow you to chart a course through space that fits your play style. There are different weapons to master. There’s a career path just for you in Stars Reach.
You’re not locked into any single playstyle. Experiment with different skill paths and find the combination that suits you best. Build your own class from different skill sets and define your role in the galaxy.
Your first steps onto a new world take you far beyond the familiar. You’ll need to adapt to your surroundings by learning to survive. Every skill path has accompanying equipment, which you’ll gain proficiency with by using those tools.
More importantly, your contributions to the community will increase your proficiency. A camp you build will earn you experience when others rest at it. Community means survival, and we’ve built Stars Reach to support pro-social behavior and limit the ability for other players to ruin your experience through griefing.
You can build a cozy cottage on a remote hill, and carve out a living by yourself. But if you crave community, team up to build settlements and cities, shape how they grow, and decide how they are governed.
Team up and claim a large plot of land that isn’t just a home base. You and your friends can cluster your homesteads, build a community, and govern together.
The resources you gather can be sold in a unified galactic economy driven by players. Or, you can use them to craft tools and technology to supply distant worlds with vital goods necessary for their survival.
Trade with players across the galaxy, specialize in what you make, and become a master of your craft and earn renown across the galaxy.
Your choices determine what comes next.
Cities grow or decline, ecosystems shift, wildlife becomes extinct, and resources are used up or recover based on what you do. Protect the environment and its inhabitants, or strip mine it for profit. Other players live with the results of what you leave behind.
This is Stars Reach! What will you become?

Plays a lot better than stress test and demo. I was really worried because things would go invulnerable and take 0 damage. Runs worlds better than previous versions. Has a bit of the feel of SWG from back in the day.
Game looks good to me. I hope they will develop the game nicely. Then it will be super popular :)
Far from being in a playable state, spent the only minutes i played trying to move around just kept falling through the ground, and a couple of missions that basically didn't complete cause items i harvested kept disappearing from my inventory, this is not EA, this is not even Pre-Alpha.... It's just trash

This game and it's lore match very well. Afterall, we're all just piles of goo mashed into a meatbag suit and tossed out into the wilderness with the most minimal hint of education. We are not the first wave, and only a few have been before us, so knowledge and infrastructure is minimal at best. This is a game about the world responding to player action and the early-early release feels very meta. The devs are actively responding to the actions of the players and the players are acting exactly as if they were random people taken from their homeworlds and tossed out into the wilderness. Some cry foul, that the world should have been made perfect for them, and others are lost and confused. But it's the ones that look around and say WTF?, shrug their shoulders, and get to work figuring out how to make things better; those are the ones this game is for and the ones that will help the lost and try to make the world as balanced as they can. I don't recommend this game to everyone at this time, but a certain type of people will enjoy it as it develops. I'm exited to see how the game grows and a little terrified of what it becomes when F2P people start to join. TL;DR If you're a gamer wanting to grind the system and gain achievements, this is not the game for you. If you like cooperative, survival, and sandbox type games you might enjoy this. I would call this an "out-of-the-sandbox" type of game. But what would I know? I'm just an old lady well into my fourth decade of circling the sun.
Graphics are ugly, like a very old game. Stuttering, making it difficult to play. I will wait some updates.
Даже войти не дало, а когда получилось зайти - моделька персонажа просто поломалась. Рано ещё для раннего доступа, надеюсь на релизе все баги будут исправлены.
Clunky but still good. dont let all the BS bother you, only you can make Star reach grate.
Here's the context a lot of reviews are missing: 1. This is an early access game, and one that ran out of funding and openly stated they had to launch 2-3 months before they wanted to because they needed funding to continue development. The developers have been extremely engaged since Day 1 and I believe they can be trusted to keep improving. 2. This is an open-world, sandbox style MMO. Remember that a good portion of the development team comes from Star Wars Galaxies, which was a wholly unique type of MMO at launch. You're not going to find NPCs telling you step-by-step what to do. Discovering what the galaxy has to offer is 50% of the fun. Finding a community to discover it with is the other half. I played for 3-4 hours last night and had a blast. Yes, there are bugs and glitches. But the gameplay was fun, the community is super positive and fun. Give it a chance and I think you won't be disappointed.
Despite it being in EA with the normal issues you would expect and encounter I find StarsReach a very enjoyable game, cant wait for updates. (Hotfixes, bugs etc are addressed in a respectable time frame)
I understand the concept but if its sandbox freedom why i can only know how to craft 15 items. Why dont perma unlock recipies? I did some mission that are a bit boring and take long time to earn some cash but i would love to do something else like gather materials for the cash or sth. I dont want to do missions only. I want gather and craft, build! but after few hours i still cant craft anyting with stuff i gathered and build anything :( i am not happy now with game
