About

An entire universe awaits you in Stars Reach. In this science-fantasy MMORPG, you'll visit strange, new worlds, become an explorer, and build a life on planets that react to everything you do. Your choices will change your world. And, you'll do it with every other player on a single server. Leave your mark on the galaxy!
Each world responds to your actions. A deep, reactive simulation allows water to flow naturally, forests to burn, and lava to harden into new materials and land masses. From lush forests to winding rivers to perilous mountains, every planet has its own ecosystems, resources, and challenges. Your decisions determine what resources are available to you, how wildlife reacts, and ultimately which settlements prosper.
Planets are living systems. Your decisions determine what resources are available to you. Climate changes, creatures migrate, disasters strike, and the world reacts in ways you can’t fully control.
Travel through wormholes to discover new worlds, explore, build, survive, and thrive. Every planet begins untouched. What it becomes is up to you.
Master one of dozens of skill paths, and live the galactic life you’ve always dreamed. Whether you want to protect settlers as a ranger, build a trade empire, or offer your services as an architect, Stars Reach offers many skill paths that allow you to chart a course through space that fits your play style. There are different weapons to master. There’s a career path just for you in Stars Reach.
You’re not locked into any single playstyle. Experiment with different skill paths and find the combination that suits you best. Build your own class from different skill sets and define your role in the galaxy.
Your first steps onto a new world take you far beyond the familiar. You’ll need to adapt to your surroundings by learning to survive. Every skill path has accompanying equipment, which you’ll gain proficiency with by using those tools.
More importantly, your contributions to the community will increase your proficiency. A camp you build will earn you experience when others rest at it. Community means survival, and we’ve built Stars Reach to support pro-social behavior and limit the ability for other players to ruin your experience through griefing.
You can build a cozy cottage on a remote hill, and carve out a living by yourself. But if you crave community, team up to build settlements and cities, shape how they grow, and decide how they are governed.
Team up and claim a large plot of land that isn’t just a home base. You and your friends can cluster your homesteads, build a community, and govern together.
The resources you gather can be sold in a unified galactic economy driven by players. Or, you can use them to craft tools and technology to supply distant worlds with vital goods necessary for their survival.
Trade with players across the galaxy, specialize in what you make, and become a master of your craft and earn renown across the galaxy.
Your choices determine what comes next.
Cities grow or decline, ecosystems shift, wildlife becomes extinct, and resources are used up or recover based on what you do. Protect the environment and its inhabitants, or strip mine it for profit. Other players live with the results of what you leave behind.
This is Stars Reach! What will you become?

English version: Stars Reach, the new sandbox MMORPG from Playable Worlds (Raph Koster's studio), just launched into Early Access and it's already shaping up to be a real treat! Planetary exploration feels genuinely immersive — every world is dynamic and shaped by the players themselves, which gives a constant sense of discovery. Between resource gathering, crafting, and building your own homestead, there's plenty to keep you busy for hours. The player-driven economy adds real depth to the experience. For such an early stage of Early Access, the potential is already very promising, and I'm excited to see how the world evolves with future updates. A space sandbox I'd genuinely recommend, especially if you enjoy building and leaving your mark on the world!

The best way to describe Star Reach in early access is the "width of a lake and the depth of such." Not a small puddle by any means but also not yet to its ocean's wide with the depth to match of a sandbox MMO. The systems that exist as gameplay operate as islands within the lake with one neat thing, the island cooperate with each other in such depth that excites the crafter part of my brain and allows a wide variety of playstyles and interplayer cooperation much like a civilization requires many hands making many things. It takes from the years of experience the Developers have had and their vison of a living galaxy towards it next evolution in our modern time.
Terrible, terrible idea to release Stars Reach in this condition. I got WoW alpha vibes. Its barebones, stripped down and there has been very little attention to sound or graphics detail. Navigating terrain in public areas is painfull, jagged and messy. Character models are terrible. My ears had another white ear inside them, peoples heads were missing and at one point I swear I saw beetlejuice, that or I was having a moment caused by jankies. Everything just looks bland and without character. The gun sound is horrible and gets very irritating very quickly. I am thinking they just pushed the dumpster fire out to satisfy crowdfunding obligations, I can see a few patches with slower and slower cadence ultimatly leading to "here's your V1 guys, thanks for your money" Get paper, stick your finger up your ring, smear poop around the paper. Congratulations you are now a qualified Playable Worlds Inc developer.
Far from finished, Graphics look poor and out-dated, childish woke character models.. Many players are invisible only their weapon showing.. People rubberband all over the place, UI is super unclear.. Constant stuttering, the world is bland and uninteresting 1,5 hours in, the buildings look voxel/like which is not my forte so cant say if thats bad or good its just whatever The combat feels like it could be decent without the rubberbanding but still not great, like it wants to be Star wars the old republic, but somehow still clunkier and worse combat.. I dont like placing negative reviews but I agree with others, save your money for now I dont see this getting fixed anytime soon. They mentioned (We HAD to release it, a few more years would be millions more) Sure but this is absurd, the quality the game is in is pathethic.
This looked like it could be an amazing game, unfortunately right when I started it was super laggy and did not seem like a well run game. Maybe in a year or two they can sort it out, but for now I would not waste your money unfortunately.
shush the fluff up , let them finish the game
This game should not be in Early Access. The controls are completely messed up. The mouse cursor keeps coming up on screen and moving around (and off on to other monitors even in fullscreen mode) while still controlling the camera so trying to turn around 180 degrees and then firing a weapon leaves you doing things in other programs. In addition windows are popping up with information and no hot button to close them so you have to find your mouse to close them causing you to spin your camera all over the place. There's no targeting for shooting. Animations are broken for shooting. The fundamental concepts of the game look great. But they are MONTHS from being a reasonably playable game.
UGH. Hopefully they can fix this and make millions, buy I'm out till they officially release.
