Fantastic. Old school vibes with the space combat with RPG progression while playing online.
I like spaceship games like Star Control II and Starcom Nexus but this one's look and feel is just rough... Maybe it gets better? But you gotta start us off with something a little more entertaining at the start and get some better sounds and controls. Default attack button is "i" ? really? UI is bad with text all over. Sounds are terrible. Controls are bad. I'm not wasting any more time on this. If they can't get the basics down why would I invest more time in it? Star Sector might be worth looking at too. Haven't tried that one yet.
A long awaited sequel of a flash classic. This game is fantastic. The game is very accessible and has a pick up and play style, but it still manages to have a lot of depth to it. There is so much to do, explore, and discover. So many ships, star systems, weapons, and relics. If you're considering buying the game, do it. It needs more players. It DESERVES more players.

This game really has it all. Single player offline mode, coop mode only and the the full mmo experience. I only bought it for the vr mode so I cant talk about the desktop portion, but in vr I can play with the follow mode and get eye level with the ship and it's awesome. Other modes arent that good. I'd love the cockpit mode but the dips on the turning the camera goes that direction with you. Puke city. I'd only wish the static circle recital images for the players enemy's and locations were much much smaller, static large images like that isnt good for vr. Other wise this game is great. Was doubtful others still played and to my surprise I was dog fighting with other players shortly after the tutorial! Love it keep it up dev!
I'm in enemy territory when I come across a minefield hidden in a nebula. My ship, a Marauder, is light and agile, so I have no problem weaving through the mines. But if I get caught by the enemy, the mines will complicate my escape, so I stay close to the edge of the sector. In the distance, I hear a series of explosions. Friend or foe? The fog of the nebula makes it impossible to tell. The explosions get closer and closer until my targeting systems finally lock on. It's a friend. If it's a friend, the explosions must be from enemy missile fire. As soon as I make that realization, I turn and flee. I've accumulated a tidy bounty from kills, and if I die here, I lose it all. The explosions continue behind me, but something isn't right. The sounds are far too frequent and regular to be from normal missile fire. I slow down, and the explosions stop. The explosions were from mines, not missiles. My friend turns out to be a badly damaged NPC Fighter. That's the starting ship, one of the weakest in the game. It wasn't running from anything. It was following me in a straight line, chasing me like a puppy and bulldozing through the mines. I don't know how the Fighter survived so many mines, but I'm glad it did. I lead us out of the minefield, slowly this time, and we both make it out. Lovely game.
Great content here, don't let my 11.7 hours fool you, I was playing through the beta before we made it to Steam and whether you're looking for some casual space dogfighting or to climb the leaderboards this is the place to be. Whether you're playing with a simple starter loadout on a small ship or using the ultimate in heavy space armaments the build diversity is incredibly extensive. For those that like to flex there's great stat tracking and leaderboards for XP, kills, largest bounty and the list goes on. Really hoping this game gets some more traction coming into full release!
pretty rad. im excited to see what they bring to the table in the future. i would love the organizations being expanded so you can do something kinda like x4. hopefully itd be easier to implement in 2d
I've been looking for a Dark Orbit/Warpfire like game with no pay to win and a gameplay more complex than just clicking at stuff and watching it explode ; this game is more than I would have expected ! I haven't done any PvP yet, first because of my level, and second because right now the max number of online players I've seen at a time is around 8, but the game seems to handle it nicely : you can either play full multiplayer, with both allies and enemies in the universe around you, go coop and only meet allies that picked this mode too, or just play solo and be left alone while you level up your ship. This way you get to avoid what made DO so annoying, namely players with end-game gear that hunt newcomers. The game can be unforgiving at times, and you'll die a lot, but thankfully they let you buy lives (up to ten) for cheap, giving you room for error in-between your station stops. So I like to think dying is actually a mechanic in this game, and as long as you kill some stuff you get further. Map is huge with a lot of random events going on too, but I haven't seen much compared to what the game can offer.
A pleasant combination of arcade-flavored space shooting and Elite-flavored exploration. Definitely worth a look - especially if you have played its ancestor, Disputed Galaxy.
