Starfield is the first new universe in 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 12.57/day in the week to Jul 30 → 15.71/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 17 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,502 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; Xbox, PlayStation publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 24: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I've been hating on this game since I first tried it at launch. That being said. I think the Free Lanes update helped me a lot. I don't think this game is perfect but its taking steps in the right direction. I'm for the first time able to enjoy this game but I'm doing so by avoiding the Main Story as much as possible. Every time I tried to play in the past I got so bored of the main story that I logged off. Instead I'm primarily focusing the Faction Stories and doing main story quests if they reside on the same planets. My time feels better spent this way. Mods help with this game too. I'm not doing giant overhauls or anything but the Bounty Hunter mod is a very cool addition. I hate that Bethesda likes to do paid mods but to me that one is simply an expansion disguised as a mod. Overall, worth a shot if you didnt like it before because of the flying systems. I still wish we could actually enter and leave the atmosphere but I just don't think they can ever make that happen.
fun space rpg lots of ship building options .outpost construction lot if interesting varied story missions. always something to do. I enjoy the the battles space or land. not perfect but i like it.
The community has made this one work: so far, I'm finding the game quite enjoyable. One criticism I have is the "what map am I on" problem, but I'm going to try and fix it with mods.
I am really liking this game and I have around 100 mods installed via creation and I am enjoying every moment. The graphics are really beautiful and I wish they had implemented planetary exploration using our ship like in no man’s sky, its just my opinion. It has interesting characters and quests as well to keep you hooked for hours.
How starfield compares to other games: Unique Gameplay Aspects where Starfield is better than any other game: Ship Building - customize every aspect of your ship block by block, or redesign a ship already built to make unique ships with unique capabilities. Space Engineers will allow you to do this but in a more tedious way. FPS space based combat - some of the most interesting scenarios (grav on grav off) that cause you to reevaluate FPS mechanics, it's like entering a whole new biome when the grav gets shut off and you never know when that'll happen in space-based combat. Ship-based Combat - No man's sky / other games have similar ship-based combat. However, with the ability to board most ships, all of a sudden this becomes a decision of "destroy or disable" so you can board the ship and loot it or take it over and fly it yourself. Unique World + Storyline - lots of story here, work for different factions, try to advance their agendas or swap sides and work for their rivals. It's a scifi opera. Aspects that other games do better: FPS ground-based combat - Yes you can shoot things, there are lots of different guns, they all make things go explode, but this doesn't really make the game unique Loot - Impossible to compare what you're looting w/ what you have until you pick it up, this is objectively worse than something like the Borderlands franchise which allows you to compare looted items with what you have equipped before picking it up. Base building and logistics - Play Satisfactory if you want to build a logistics system / factory. Starfield was extremely limited in comparison. Exploration of planets - No mans' sky is objectively better. Starfield doesn't keep track of what you've explored, just that you've explored it. So it's annoying to go back and plan what system you want to setup an outpost in if you can't remember "could I harvest this resources from this creature".
