Reviews
I wanted to like this game more than I actually did. First, it feels far from well optimized. It lags a lot on my PC, and while my setup is not top tier, it can still run many other games on fairly high settings without this kind of problem. There is clearly a lot of focus on lighting and visual effects, but the character models look rough, and ship explosions breaking into cubes looks bad and feels outdated. That said, some of the gameplay mechanics are interesting. I played on normal difficulty, and at first the resource gathering and ship upgrading gave me a reason to keep going. The problem is that once you get about halfway through the game, it starts to feel repetitive. The gathering stays mostly the same, and by that point you have already seen most of what the building system has to offer. What I really missed was the feeling that the ship was actually alive. There are turbolifts, but they do not even work properly, and small details like crew members actually moving through the ship would have gone a long way toward making it feel like a real Voyager experience. For me, this lands in meh territory. But since Steam only gives the choice between recommended or not recommended, I would have to give it a thumbs down.

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

35 bucks is a little steep for the base game. Fallout Shelter, which is basically the cousin does more for free. ATU feels like they wanted to make a mobile game, but scrapped that plan (for the better perhaps, imagine having to recruit through gacha) in the last minute. It's one of those games to get on sale.
It's a choose your own adventure book Not really fun to play
I don’t think I’ve ever played a game quite like this one, and I found it really enjoyable. I could easily see it becoming a great candidate for speedruns, but for me it was just genuinely fun to play. Since I enjoy more relaxed experiences, I went with the casual settings. Even then, I still got caught and was penalized more than once for lingering too long in a sector! haha. The whole experience was a lot of fun for me. One of the things I appreciated was seeing the developers actively polishing the game and listening to player feedback. That kind of ongoing support really shows. I also really hope they’re able to adapt this style of game to ALL the Star Trek series. It feels like the format would work well for most of them. My only real disappointment is that more of the original cast weren’t able to voice their characters. Maybe that’s something that could come later as an update or DLC. I wouldn’t pay a lot, but I’d gladly pay a bit extra for more voice acting. Overall, I had a great time and took things slowly on my first playthrough. I’m already planning to play again because Seven died, and now I’m determined to figure out how to keep everyone alive and unlock the right technologies. The game even inspired me to start rewatching Voyager. Maybe that will give me some insight into what decisions to make next play. :-)

This is a very good Space Sim / Management game, that uses Star Trek Voyager's premise excellently. It uses the premise of one ship surviving alone in space better than the show. Missions are based on episodes, but not always resolve the way the did in the show.
If you are a trekkie: you will like this game; you can play it without knowing anything about Star Trek, as it is about resource management, and research, and choices. I recommend you give it a try, at least. If you are a trekkie: this game is exactly what promises, with 2.5 exceptions that you should know before hand, so you curb your expectation in this regard: 1. All the situations that you will encounter are presented through text; there is no voice over, no Kate Mulgrew/voice-alike commanding her crew, no nothing, except prompts to read and clicks to give. The only exceptions are some Personal logs readout by the original Tuvok and Paris and... how should I put it.... they don't sound like 30something Tom Paris, but more like 61 years old Robert Duncan McNeill, if you get what I mean. I respect the actors, just I expected more of the original energy. 2. You know those jokes like "we have Voyager at home", or "Voyager from Temu?" This is how the animated characters look like on the ship, on the viewscreen, when they move around. I hope the developers make enough money to afford a graphic update that will make the characters look properly, but right now, I truly think they did not have the license rights or something. You recognise them, but... "from Temu" 0.5 If you watched all the promotional movies on this page, you should know this already: you will *not* command Voyager in battle, you will only tell her what to attack and what to fix (and she'll do rounds by herself around the target). Also, missions and exploration are "games of chances": you will try to improve your odds by selecting ways to procede, but sometimes you'll like more agency over this (aside from manual saving before and reloading if things really go sideways). However, while the game do offer a lot of alternative choices to Voyager canon, some paths seem forced "offscreen". I'm not going to spoil it, suffice to say you have at some points more choices and you chose a different one, then you are told that that there are too many enemies and you have to take the "canon" path; or somewhere else the enemy ship suddently is invincible so you are force to go canon. I don't mind going canon, I wish it was better "implemented". And on that note of "better implemented", I really (ReallyRealyReally) hated the loading screen from the tutorial Caretaker mission, teling me upfront, full screen, in plain English, that this is a game. I know it is a game but please, let me dream, will you?
Voyager - Across The Random Chance Generator. I tried to like it, but just way too much based on random chances + way too many negative modifiers constantly attacking you out of nowhere. Felt like maybe max 20 % is caused by what I do and 80 % of just random chance. Building new things on the ship was nice though. + When you are doing something be prepared to search for the 3 different rooms you need to do stuff in manually one at a time. Or loose power to your ship and be prepared to set power on everywhere manually every time. So the UI quite clunky too. And I only played the game on the middle difficulty setting.
