The UI sucks, which is one of the fastest ways to kill a strategy game.
It's like most space games, but really old :P
Better than Stellaris in that the "sky is the limit". No silly rules forcing you to be unable to do basic things unless you jump through hoops, or what those snowflake devs perceives as "tHaT wOuLd bE uNfAiR!" - at best, there's a setting to not allow attacking systems unless at war, which you can gladly turn-off and initiate pearl-harbor style attacks at will. Ya know, like as happens in reality. Don't like me placing dozens of ships at the edge of your star system? TOO BAD. They...uh..."come in peace". You can build ships that act like mobile bases, end up putting thrusters on your planet and having it fly leave the solar system, have planetary lasers and cannons and shields, turn your solar system into a halo-esque "Ring" system. Make ships the size of planets or greater. Blow up planets. Blow up stars. Or each the point your fire-power is so great, you can blow up the galactic core and set-off a chain-reaction cascade that slowly spreads through the galaxy detonating whole solar systems. Sound like fun?! A bit a of learning curve, but to any fan of Stellaris, it will be easy as heck to figure out. The game is very much like Stellaris meets Sins of a Solar Empire gone Lite. But scales incredibly, and doesn't bog you down in unrealistic, snowflake rules. If you want to claim a solar system, just fly in and dust all the other race in there, and its yours! "B-but, this other race has a g-greater-r c-claim"...OH REALLY? Come take it then! Meanwhile, I've conquered it. It's mine. It belongs to me. If the AI empires don't like it, they can go play a Paradox game lol. Yeah, imagine you make one of your powerful worlds MOBILE and it flys into another solar system like "Unicron" but swirling with OP military outposts fragging everything in sight, or has powerful fleet in orbit that is unleashed, or starts spamming ships. Just epic. Mayhem on a galactic scale, in real time (adjustable), lots of tech to research, get very creative, and lots of stuff to conquer and destroy. It CAN end up feeling a bit wash/rinse/repeat but has tons of customability settings to make it vastly replayable. NOTE: Be sure to get the "4GB Patch", as the game was designed for older systems, if you play massive game it will crash at a certain scale limit or if too much, so getting that patch will help prevent crashes when the came goes into scales where it's akin to being superpowerful ala Vorlons vs. Shadows scale of galactic warfare and devastation.

Game description key-points: This Gamash, a badly aged spacial sim. Overview: with a really thrilling subject and content, this lacks proper visuals and nice and fit for purpose management. Heavily mediocre all around.
it's a fun game for what it is. it does have one drawback. it's very frustrating when your ships die immediately upon being built for no obvious reason, and it happens pretty frequently. you can spend hours trying to figure out what the problem is only to have it stop at what seems to be random. other than that it's a very fun game

A decent RTS, with research and blue prints. Unless you dont like to look at blue prints 70% of the time.
Star ruler is hands down one of the most enjoyable, complex, real-time 4X games I've ever had the pleasure of playing. While the graphics are a little dated the mechanics of the game allow for creativity, personalization and freedom in playstyle that some newer real time strategy 4x games lack. I have less than 100 hours on record for this game at the time of writing but my real hours, Playing LAN multi-player at coffee shoes with my friends greatly exceeds 300 hours. This is a game I come back to time and again because it's darn near perfect.
Beaucoup trop vieillot pour que je recommande, surtout vu le nombre de jeux dans la même catégorie espace et 4X qui existent à ce jour
12 year old game that's still holding itself up very well!
