Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, GOG, Nintendo publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 1: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.78/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Brilliant game and brilliant remake. The quality of life features have been perfected here. I wish every rgp remake was like this. Please remake star ocean 3.
If the first game was a better Phantasia, this was a proto-Symphonia; big improvement over the previous game, but not as good as the one it inspired The combat is much faster and flashier (a bit too flashy in fact.. there's so much ♥♥♥♥ on the screen at all times, you can't ever tell what's going on or how you died.. although the game is so easy even on the hardest difficulty that it's not really an issue), you can skip spell animations, cancel special attacks into a different one, and the Steam version even added the summon system from Arise (and it is absolutely busted). The game is just fun to play My biggest gripe about the first game was that combat was really the only fun part about it since every other aspect of the game was incredibly obscure and convoluted. Well that's fixed now. Item Creation has been simplified, the game tells you what results you can get from combining which items and even if most of it is useless, the nifty ingame achievements system gives you an incentive to try and make at least one of everything, since you get rewarded for doing practically anything in this game. You can fast travel from the get-go, the game tells you where there's new PAs and sidequests.. it's just incredibly user-friendly in every regard The story and music is nice, but prolly the game's biggest weakness is its graphics and characters. The characters are all unlikeable cardboard cutouts who act like complete aliens, and the Steam version goes for that annoying "HD2D" style that plagues every "retro-style" game these days.. except that it completely botches it. The backgrounds and character portraits are HD and actually pretty to look at, but the sprites are probably the worst I've ever seen in a game; it's actually impressive just how utterly awful they are
Has been one of my favorite RPG's since I played it as a kid on my playstation ages ago, and the remake lived up to every bit of that. 10/10
Great RPG. Nostalgic and one of my favorites growing up. My only gripe, which seems to be a common one, is once you get to nede, the story kind of falls off. Its not bad but it falls victim to convoluted jrpg stories that japanese devs cant quite ever get rid of. Its still fun to play and eventually break with strong builds after your first playthrough. If you end up going for all 99 endings like I did, its quite easy and takes about an hour / 2 hours per run when youre beefed up. But if you dont want to, dont worry youre not missing much in terms of endings. Theyre all relatively short and variations of the same. However I do recommend getting Claude and Rena 1-3.
The script is lifted from the charisma void that is the PSP version. So instead of the original PSX dialogue thats so badly translated it actually becomes charming, in this version its just bad
