Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 14 → 1.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Formerly known as Post Scriptum, Squad 44 is the most authentic WW2 first-person shooter, featuring 20 large-scale battlefields, upwards of 150 realistic WW2 weapons, and over 120 true-to-life vehicles. You must prioritize communication, coordination, and teamwork to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
Experience real WW2 campaigns, such as the liberation of the Netherlands and the Battle of Normandy. The war stretched across farms, villages, and cities, and whether you’re jumping out of a plane, arriving by sea, or storming the battlefield in a tank, you’ll need to group up with your squad before taking on the enemy.
Fight as historic WW2 factions like the British 1st Airborne Division, the US 4th Infantry Division, and the French Army to take on the German Wehrmacht, the Waffen SS, and Fallschirmjägers. Other factions include the Australian Army, the Greek Royal Hellenic Army, the New Zealand Military Forces, the British Army, and the Polish Airborne Forces.
In Squad 44, teamwork is paramount to achieving victory. Enroll as a commander and order gun runs or artillery to support your team. Join the frontline as one of the many infantry roles. Run logistics and shape the battlefield with fortifications and emplacements. And keep everyone on the battlefield updated with our in-game voice chat. Talk directly with your entire squad or use the local proximity chat to talk to players nearby and help the flow of battle.
Be the scourge of the battlefield in one of the most feared monsters of WW2: the armored tank. Join a battalion with three other players and crew realistic steel beasts as the driver, gunner, or commander. Every vehicle in Squad 44 has been painstakingly created to represent the real tanks that roamed the battlefields of 1940s Europe. Each one features authentic functionality and armaments, meaning one thing: complete devastation to the enemy’s frontlines.
Experience the authentic reproduction of an incoming Stuka siren or artillery cannons firing from afar. The piercing sound of an incoming heavy round cutting through the air past you. The cracks of bullets and shrapnel. Squad 44 was designed with every little detail created with the utmost authenticity to the real-life weapons, vehicles, and battlefields used at the time. Don’t just play a game; experience the intense WW2 tactical military action of Squad 44.

On paper this game is better than Hell Let Lose and a lot of fun. Stratospheric highs, hadal lows, and vicious gun play. Tanks are generally very good if difficult. The map variation is very pleasing. Currently, however, there are few activer servers, and a specific server DDOS's competitors. This forces people to play with them. They run a 'rules for thee' system and spy on the map to hunt targets. They still managing to lose from time to time which is a bit sad. All the same it needs to be dealt with somehow. I continue to play, as you can have a lot of fun and cheaters generally perform poorly in gnarly, end-of-game combat. At 60% off it's a good choice.
Game is sadly dead after revival try by OWI. I have over 2k hours as SL in Squad so here are my thoughts: 1. The UI is dated badly. This impacts everything from the map to menus. 2. Markings are too complex (it feels like you have to study them before understanding what's going on). 3. The lack of FTLs means marking comes down to a few players and it also discourages teamplay comms, in Squad the comms are far more effective also because people tend to mark and inform others. This also leads to heavy load on SLs, just not good. 4. The macro gameplay is too respawn heavy, especially due to the frequent insta deaths. This also leads to the medic class and general medic interaction (thus also teamplay) lacking compared to Squad. Which in turn again encourages less comms and less cohesion. The gameplay on a strategic level feels more like Invasion defender Squad rather than a methodical approach. It's not as bad as HLL, however could be miles better. 5. Physics feel clunky, it's just not as smooth as Squad (which says a lot). 6. The population has dropped massively and if you don't fit into the current Server vibes, forget playing at all, plus this has led to the Japanese theatre dropping off hard. 7. The Armor interactions are cool and generally the maps are well made, this wasn't done sloppy, especially the Japanese theatre. In my opinion OWI should simply take everything into Squad (aka the ideas that work, not the actual models, physics etc.) and make it a playable option there, then charge for extra weapon skins to finance it. It'd help Squad players also get new content and bring diversity. This game just won't be able to compete with the vast WW2 game landscape, especially as it's far too clanky.
Alright, my fellow soldiers. I consider Squad44 dead for myself from now on. Why? Well, if you played it for, let's say, more than 300h, you probably already know. But I'll list some major issues anyway: 1) Developers with a poor development strategy. Instead of focusing on existing issues, improving and fixing what already is done, they're making more mess, and instead of properly fixing it, they just spit, hit and patch, hoping for the best. And even patching usually takes weeks, with critical bugs left. 2) Small playerbase. Sometimes makes it hard to populate a server. And sometimes, two main existing servers are full and you need to wait for at least 20min to join a match. This, also, comes from the first thing, and free weekends perfectly showed this several times (Absolutely NO conversion. Thousand people play during Free weekend, but when they end, it's back to two hundred as it was) 3) Lack of teamwork and the heavy burden of being a SL. You try your best leading squad as Squad Leader, leading squads as Commander, but it always turns to a complete radio silence and "Battlefield" on heroin. I'm glad I met some of the people in this game, but all of us is barely a number of a squad. Thanks to some of the people from community who tried their best making games good, organizing people, events. 4) Bad technical state. This is also comes from the first issue. Guys made game on Unreal Engine and couldn't handle it. I mean, yeah, sure it was a mod for Squad a while ago, but... Come on, first things first - make it playable. I'm tired of continuous freezes and bad graphics that I have to play with. Regular Squad runs better! Fix this, damn it! (Ryzen 5 3600X, 5700XT, 16gb RAM, game installed on M2 SSD, Samsung 980EVO ) With all of that, now the CI (one of the main server hosts in Europe) stopped hosting their server and people who's been supporting this game with their passion and will. They completely gave up and left the project. Reasonable, as you might see. Obviously, I DO NOT recommend this game. If you're looking for a milsim, This is not your choice. You're gonna struggle more than you satisfy.
Buy this over HLL due to actually having people who use microphones, has some crashing issues but overall a really good milsim. When is Beyond the wire getting its rebrand and revival? or maybe merge the games? Squad 17 - 44? would be cool
请问 这是恐怖游戏吗 服务器界面全是鬼图 有这时间不如去给bvvd服役
good game but the playerbase is dead
I miss when this game was Postscriptum it was actually good then. Now it's just mid to downright garbage, you will struggle to find a single squad using coms and being strategic like the good old days. Now you just get silence or some cringe guy kicking you from their squad for daring to using your mic and cooperate with your fellows tankers which is crucial might I add.
Сервера мертвые. Ещё и деньги не хотят возвращать. Какой смысл покупать онлайн игру, если онлайн в ней мёртв.
