Spriter makes it easy for anyone, regardless of experience, to create 2D game animations using a technique called Modular Animation. Individual sprite pieces can be attached to bones and then easily animated with the powerful, yet easy to use toolset.

Looks to be Dead in the water. Forums here are not active. My advice stay away DO NOT BUY.
easy interface always getting projekts and gifs done with this awesome software
Not bad animation software but you'll be fighting with the user interface the entire time which is very counter intuitive... The software is still getting updates from the developers and there's some decent tutorials available on YouTube... If you cannot afford animation software like Cartoon Animator 5 then this is a nice, cheap alternative.

This software is rough around the edges, and in the centre and the whole thing. It contains only basic features for interpolating between position, rotation and scale with not much else going on. Initially none of the help/tip videos worked and crashed in the first 5 minutes of use which required disabling openGL with no engine support outside of exporting to png. There appears to be no features for mesh modification, bone weights, bone ik constraints, colour or blending, export types. I'd expect this from a free experimental software but not a £45 software. I purchased it for Spriter 2 which seems to have far more features but i can't figure out how to get access to the alpha and the website is of no help at all. Support for Spriter (Pro) (2) seems to be spread out all over the place with no organisation. Highly disappointed. will be requesting a refund.
Eficiente para a produção, principalmente em Jams
Unfortunately I can't recommend Spriter or Spriter 2. While both are dedicated tools for 2D animating with bones, they are completely missing any form of block out tool. I would expect at least some rudimentary paint or vector tools. Add to that most of the features are things we can already do in Blender, including the painting and vector. Mesh deform which is the big upgrade in 2, is something that was already fairly standard in other 2D apps, and essential in 3D. So at a price of $60 even if it includes beta access, and a copy whenever it finally releases. Currently over 6 years in development. It's simply not worth it in my opinion, if it even gets released. Hopefully they prove me wrong, I'd love to see it released, and with more than what it currently offers. Imagine UbiArt Framework, even if it's just the roughing and animation. One can dream, but I guess instead, they would rather focus on 2D/3D gimmicks, for animations that will be pointless in most 2D games.
Very good
It just keeps crashing, tried everything on their forums, nothing works. GaRbAgE
