it's just that good, so good in fact that i play it with motion blur on, and blame my lack of good aiming on mah screen blurry, and the sequel might just be even better
Divertente
Sick parkour wall-running, a stylish bullet-time feature, an incredible(!) heavy electronic soundtrack, an unreliable narrator, exploding heads, and arcade-style pickups on kill that keep you alive, reloaded, and leaping from wall to wall while the world around you moves in slow motion, putting the pressure on you to get the next kill and keep up your advantage. This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sick, and is shaping up to be one of my favorite soundtracks of all time, alongside Hotline Miami, Furi, Payday 2, etc. Absolute no-brainer at full-price. I've been sleeping on SPRAWL until now, but it's an instant gem.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I think there's a tendency among people now a days to rate everything as a 10 or a 0, with zero room for nuance. Sprawl is, ultimately, a fun game. Short, with a straightforward loop that hides it's depth just below the surface. While I think that some people who are outright down on this game might be expecting some hyper in-depth movement shooter, in reality you're getting a riff on Doom 2016, Max Payne, Quake, with a healthy interest in visual and sound aesthetics that are uncommon in the 2020's. While I do wish the AI was a little more complex, and the game a little less interested in encouraging aura farming via the Adrenaline mechanic, it's ultimately what I want from a shooter - entertaining, and just long enough not to wear out it's welcome. I don't need Bullet Time ARMA, but games that have a clear vision and sense of forward momentum. Also more Drum & Bass and Jungle.
Neon, blood, katanas. Cyberpunk anime violence and the closest thing we have to a Ghost in the Shell boomer shooter. SPRAWL is the exact type of game that reminds me why I love FPS games and keep playing them. In a gaming landscape where so many shooters feel like they are designed by spreadsheets, chasing trends and trying to appeal to everyone, SPRAWL feels like it was made by people who simply wanted to make a badass f*cking shooter. And they succeeded. The first thing that immediately stands out is the movement. Movement in FPS games is something that is constantly overlooked, but when it is done correctly it completely changes the experience. SPRAWL understands that moving through the environment should be just as satisfying as shooting enemies. Sliding through hallways. Wall running across buildings. Diving through the air. Cutting enemies apart with a katana before landing perfectly and continuing the assault. The game makes you feel like the main character in the cyberpunk anime you always wanted to play. Every encounter feels like a challenge to see how stylish you can be. And that is what makes this game so addictive. SPRAWL does not want you to simply survive. It wants you to look cool doing it and feel superhuman. The combat is fast, aggressive, and incredibly satisfying. Enemies explode into chunks of cybernetic destruction while your movement abilities allow you to constantly reposition and keep the momentum going. The game understands that the best FPS combat is not just about aiming. It is about rhythm. Move. Shoot. Dodge. Slice. Repeat. Once everything clicks, you enter that same flow state that games like DOOM, Quake, and Ultrakill chase. That feeling where your hands are moving faster than your brain can process and suddenly you realize you have been playing for hours. The aesthetic is also incredible. The cyberpunk world is dripping with personality. The neon lights, the futuristic architecture, the anime influences, and the grimy atmosphere all come together to create a world that feels like a lost 90s cyberpunk OVA that somehow became a video game. It is stylish as hell. And the soundtrack only elevates it further. There is something about putting on headphones, turning the volume up, and letting the game completely take over. The combination of the visuals, the movement, and the music creates that perfect arcade-like feeling where you are not playing to reach the ending. You are playing because the act of playing is fun. That seems simple, but it is something a lot of modern games have forgotten. SPRAWL understands that sometimes you do not need a million systems, open worlds, crafting mechanics, or battle passes. Sometimes you just need a gun. A sword. A hallway full of enemies. And a reason to run through it as stylishly as possible. My only complaint is that I wanted more. More levels. More enemies. More opportunities to push the movement and combat even further. I finished SPRAWL and immediately wanted another excuse to jump back in. Games like this are why I love the FPS genre. They are reminders that there are still developers out there who understand that shooters are supposed to make you feel something. A cyberpunk adrenaline simulator. A neon-soaked violence simulator. A "just one more level" simulator. Absolutely cannot recommend enough.
in a steam store plagued with "retro movement shooter" Sprawl stands above them all by having beautiful visuals, excelent controller support, banger sound track, smooth as butter movement, dope af weapons and fun and challenging gunfights. You can find me Sprawled out in bed playing Sprawl any day
