Very spooky, but I made it through thanks to the power of cats. But no really, cute, charming little game. A bit short and a lil rough, but a decent lil snack of a game, having got it on sale.

I recommend this game on sale if you want a short, simple platforming experience. It's very simplistic, but not bad and it's fun to play something like this everyone once in awhile. There's nothing really bad about this game, everything is fairly adequate. The graphics are simple and mostly fine, but by not having outlines, some of the things blend into the background like the knives that the kitchen ghosts throw after they die. I didn't know how I was getting hurt for awhile. The gameplay is pretty solid if not super interesting. It's an extremely basic shooting platformer that never gets very complex. The music is probably the low point, but it's never offensive, just not great. The biggest disappointment is that about 50% of the items you get are keys. Keys are never an interesting thing to get in a Metroidvania and it would have been a much better game if they could have been items that worked like keys (like the dash and the charge shot in this game). It's the kind of game where you can see the potential for future releases and supporting indie developers can only lead to more good games being made. So I hope the developer grows in his understanding of game developing and makes a really refined future title.

Cute, fun and short game. Don't let that fool you though because the game can be tough as nails at times. When I got to the second boss I figured I made a wrong turn because i was doing so poorly. A great Halloween time game.

2 button presses to open the map. Frustrating little game. I had a lot more fun with the devs other title: SJ-19 Learns to Love.

Just completed the game at 97% in less than two hours. I missed a cat but am not really motivated to run through and find it. As long as you know what you're getting I think it was 90 minutes well spent. Nothing new or innovative, just a pretty neat little microvania. Very basic but can be challenging as your attack is pretty weak and the bosses are especially spongy.
